@@wombat.vision Remember although the Sigma 18-50 is a APSC it is a f/2.8 Prime. Do not be fooled the Focal Length with have the 1.5 crop BUT the light of f2.8 does not change. Cropping does not have ANY effect on the light hitting the Sensor. f/2.8 is f/2.8 on this lens. I can validate this for you for sure I shoot Prime all day with my 35 f/1.8 the 85 f/1.8 the 100 f/2.8 (new edition, I love) the 70-200 f2.8 and the 24-105 f/4.0 I initially bought the 18-50 f/2.8 to throw on my gimbal with one of the S5 II but I quick release it off the gimbal and go handheld without even thinking. This is a sleeper lens many will not realize as top notch.
@@moneyboys2010 Yeah, I know. The difference is only the depth of focus and the smaller APS-C crop on the sensor might be a bit noisier. Doesn't matter in good light but might in low-light situations. But I prefer primes when I can, even though zooms are much more practical in most situations.
@@wombat.vision 👍🏽 I shoot Weddings, the evening situations… very low light receptions and such. No issues. I do use the 2nd base ISO but I get no noise at all.
