I'm kind of blown away with the Stabilisation. I work in film, and despite how much OIS and IBIS and Gimbals are crowed about, and how good they have all got, none of them have ever really dealt well with 4th Axis so any kind of walking shot always looks bouncy. That's why on film sets our primary stabilisation tool, by a wide margin, is still the Steadicam. Those shots of you running with the 12-35 with the Dual IS and the ES together were Steadicam level stable. I kind of can't believe it.

Holy sh*t the video stabe is very impressive with EIS!!! Finally a lightweight camera with interchangeable lenses, reliable AF, rugged body, perfect stabe and 10bit/high quality footage... and a somewhat big sensor (at least its much bigger than any action cam/phone). Also, I'm glad Panasonic want to work with you

it's amazing how good the stabilisation is. Absolutely no need for a gimbal. Well done Panasonic - you have given us faith in the Pony of Hope with this one

No way denying it: you LOVE that camera from the first minute. It shows, you had a hard time even finding a handful of quirks. And those are at the border of the technical spectrum. But agreed: why 4k/120 AF but not FHD/300? Let's see what the engineers will squeeze out of that little devil. I'm about to preorder, just waiting for your further reviews. I expected good but this... The stabe holy macaroni, the slow mo, v-log, PDAF, all the codecs you get and the ISO performance looks pretty sweet too for a micro loser. Now to rob a bank, brb.

That IBIS is godly. I hope the EIS stuff comes to the S5iix via firmware update!

Panasonic is absolutely killing the camera game the past year. I bought an s5II because I said I would always try one if they did phase detect AF, I sold everything and bought a second one and moved platforms. It is the best camera I ever owned hands down, I came from an a73 platform, but I did use a z6 II for a while, and the Lumix platform is amazing and having all the native sigma glass allows you to build out your lenses without buying all first party for lesser used lenses without any drawbacks. My daughter is on the m4/3 platform, this looks like a homerun.

People forget it's not just phase detect it's hybrid AF, when you consider Lumix had the best contrast detect AF by far, hybrid was always going to be good Also nothing beats Angry Dad walk :)

After asking numerous times for help, with zero response, I pulled the trigger on a used G9, 100-300 and 12-60 lens. All used. I have finally left the iPhone ways and entering into the world of wildlife photography. When I get a million subs, I can upgrade to the cinema.

I dont know if it’s GAS but I have the urge of moving from Fooj to Panny.

Phase detect in a Panasonic M43 camera. Never thought I would see it. The stabilization was crazy good, it looked action cam level. Also, wow the low light performance of the A7SIII always blows me away even after all this time.

No need for 240fps 4K?!!!! Are you effing kidding me, of course, there would be a freaking need, and that would actually set Panasonic apart from all the other brands by offering it. Man, I tell you their management just fell off the stupid truck. The GH6 release was honestly a disaster and this is just basically trying to catch up a little bit, after most people have switched to fullframe, because Panasonic was dragging their darn feet on upgrading the auto focus.

Panasonic colors are far and away better. Look at how the sky is rendered. Sony puts you on some martian moon with magenta atmosphere.

I hope panasonic can make some kind of special offer to us GH6 users if we film ourselfs destroying the GH6 with a hammer while shouting "why cant you be like him!!!"

I would go to your other channel to look at more video examples but the last time I did that the first video that popped up was about some sort of terrifying Venom symbiote like black slime that passed through you and you were playing with it in a bath tub... I'll stick to the nice birdies and dad running on this channel.

The first version is still my favorite camera ever, but I’ve been waiting for version 2 since the first time I tried PDAF. I wish they left the ergonomics the same as the mark I, but I get why they didn’t.

You dirty influencer!!! Now you made me want to buy a G9 II! No, really! How can that thing beat Canon colors? Normally I don't like cameras that big, but if the colors are that good, it focuses that well, and I get to keep my Micro Four Loser lenses - I am all onboard! And I gotta admit - I like the chunky look of it (which for a short while made my consider the S5 II). Anyway - I am looking forward to your other videos, Kasey. The funny thing is - I only do still photography, but your videos are the first I want to see when a new camera comes out (directly followed by Emily's videos).

Hang on.... a 12mm f/1.4 is a 12mm f/1.4 what ever the system you have. It is not a 2.8 for a mft or 0.9 lower if you mount it on a medium format camera. 12mm f/1.4 is a mathematical description of the size of the rear lens compared to the focal length. Thus it has the same light gathering capability and same depth of field on any system. Any... no execption! You are howerver trying to sell the properties of the camera chip as a property of the lens, by claiming that if the lens had the same angle of view on any system, and with the same f-number, the depth of field would differ. Thus you are infact saying that bananas are the same as corn given that they are both yellow.

I'm so tempted, but at the same time, the S5II is pretty much the same price. The FX30 is a little cheaper and that's for an APS-C sensor. Same price for full frame and APS-C cameras... Both better in low light. I have a bunch of m43 lenses but nothing spectacular. It's tempting for that alone.

hi, have you noticed a difference in quality between 240 and 300 fps. How is the new leica 100-400? did they fix the zoom ring which was stiff? and the image quality at 400mm and stabilization? The g9 ii is fantastic... in the absence of a losing micro 4/3 I had fallen back on the lumix s5 ii. I'm happy to be able to return to the micro loser :D you are the best :D
