This is the best tv ever, till now, no doubt about this!

Grate video. I LOVE the freedom Panasonic gives to us. I will buy this TV and probably not go down the rabbit hole of settings to far. But if ever I want to I can jus do it. Because it's my TV so I can set it up like I want to. Thank you Panasonic for this. And again thank you for this great video.

Vincent picked up this TV from my local store - my money is ready, I’ll be moving house in the next 4-5 weeks but once I’m settled in my new place I’m straight down to the store to place my order.

Fingers crossed that the review shows that it’s capable of epic gaming for new consoles, like LG or even better. Because otherwise, I expect this TV to be more reliable and better in every other aspect 🤞🏽

Finally I can decide which tv to buy. 😀

I am still using Panasonic’s plasma VT65 and picture quality amazes me to this day. Still under a warranty! I guess JZ1500 will be the one I will upgrade to after 7 years.

Oh btw be sure to check if they've overcome their "little" half vertical resolution at 4k 120hz problem and VRR/BFI not working at 4k@120 at all

Hi @HDTVtest Vincent, I have also a review sample of JZ2000. My found issues: Dolby Vision from HDMI Source with Inteligent Frame Creation creates artifact noise. Netflix on the TV is playing Dolby Vision content slower than on HDMI - like a slipped seconds in a few minutes.

I bought my LG oledE6 (cost a fortune 5 years ago!!) from Richer Sounds Manchester. Also a Denon amp and Monitor Audio speakers. Great shop to do business with :)

I'm actually considering the top end LCD JX940 as I don't have the budget or controlled light environment for OLED, plus Panasonic's UI seems to be quite bare and simple, which I think I would prefer. So this has been a good run through, as the top end LCD's never seems to get reviewed and that JX940 and the OLED range appear to have a lot of similarities on paper.

KING OF THE KINGS JZ2000 👑

I live in Japan and bought JZ2000 since it was available at local shop from end of May, the picture quality is second to none. The only issue currently for JZ2000 is that, the 4K/120hz input will only display half the vertical resolution which means you got 3840*1080 instead of 3840x2160, so the picture looks blurry at 4K@120hz. But this has been officially announced by Panasonic early this year when they introduced the 2021 TV line-up, and the resolution at 4K@120hz will be fully restored via a firmware update at sometime this year. So if you are a gamer, you have to wait for a firmware update to get a full HDMI 2.1 gaming experience.

And so we wait patiently for the review...

Excited for another unboxing! Also excited because now all the flagships are out it only means one thing… 2021 shootout incoming?!

@HDTVTest > JZ2000 has MT5816. Do you think it will suffer from the same limitations as the MT5895 on the A90J (no 4K120hz + DV at the same time) or is MT5816 custom SoC with more capabilities and flexibility?

Hi Vincent during your upcoming review can you offer any explanation as to why it weighs so much less then last years model. I believe it could be 10kg lighter. Also could you give me some idea about how the sound system performs. Many Thanks

Hi Vincent, thanks for all your reviews they helped with making a decision on which OLED to punt out over a grand on in the end. I went for the JZ1000B. Can you tell me how long the tv needs in standby mode to perform its own routine ompensation cycles? Also if you should just leave them plugged in and on standby rather than actually switching them off at the wall, I do prefer to do that when its not actually in use as I've heard that solar winds and flares can if strong enough kill your TV if its on standby or connected....

Hi Vincent. I noticed on the professional setting that sharpening was at 30 by default. I'm guessing that means Panasonic's setting for no edge enhancement is 30 (it seems unlikely they'd deliberately soften the picture in this mode). I wish they stated for different TVs which setting represents no edge enhancement as it seems to vary not only by manufacturer but also from TV to TV (in cases where the lower end models use a different operating system for example). Secondly, I bought myself a Time Sleuth display lag tester (similar to the Leo Bodnar tester you use though I believe it maxes out at 1080p 60Hz). I have tested all of the 2020 Panasonic sets (every model but not every size) and will be testing the new sets when they arrive. I was wondering if you would like me to share my results with you. Lastly, they switched the box on selected models last year. The integrity of the box holds up okay and can be re-used due to the bracing of the polystyrene if you tape up the perforated sections after re-assembling. Still, I preferred the clips.

Panasonic, please include the premium RC (like with GZ and HZ) also make the power mains cable detachable. On the positive, I like the vertical HDMI and other ports design (finally same as on old Pioneer KRP 500 / 600 models)

Panasonic please come back to the U.S. You have a sale right here. I was able to get the GZ1000 from Canada but now no longer in Canada either. My friend bought it from me when I got the Sony A90J. Love Panasonic!

Finally a Panasonic Oled with VRR. Can you maybe give it a try with Nvidia Cards aswell?

It really feels like a professional device and I like the fact that they have both proper hard-clipping (HGiG) as well as dynamic tone mapping that doesn‘t raise dark areas as much as LGs are doing. If the VRR works properly and the game mode doesn‘t fare worse in terms of brightness the only remaining limiting factor would be the MediaTek SOC. Did I get it right that the SOC will never be able to support 4K 120Hz and DV at the same time or is it possible that this is fixed via a firmware update at some point?

Would love to see the peak brightness and input lag in game mode :)
