I have not done a GX9 but it looks like the bottom plate of the GX9 removes with small Philips screws and that will allow the hinge pin to slide out for battery door replacement.

John Knox: There's nothing to grab, so to extract it, I would carefully work my way around the battery using a simple pin or needle to carefully coax the battery out of the chamber and then inspect it. While I haven't seen this issue with these Lumix cameras, they do use Lithium ion batteries and we all know from our smart phones that Li-Ion batteries can swell and become stuck in their chambers. I have seen this issue several times with my LG G5 phone batteries swelling and refusing to come out. As you know, normally the spring at the base of the Lumix battery chamber SHOULD be more than enough to push the battery out enough for you to grip it. If it is stuck, there are several possibilities. 1 the battery swelled. 2. The spring has failed or fallen out. 3. Something sticky somehow got on the battery and is jamming it in place. 4. These batteries are nearly symmetrical, so loading them in backwards is easy and it may simply be flipped over and jammed in place but I just tested that theory and the spring still was able to push the reverse mounted battery out of the chamber. So, my money is on you having a swelled battery. Hopefully it hasn't chemically ruptured while in the chamber. Please follow up and let us know what you see after extracting it. I hope that helps.

Not yet! It's a similar door, so you just need to identify which face comes off the camera to reveal the hinge pin for replacement.

Actually the TZ70 is easier. Instead of the front, the back comes off easily in a similar way. With the back off, the TZ70 battery door hinge is visible to slide out. I hope that helps. Good luck with it.
