If someone said this was bmpcc 6k or Sony fx footage I would say yes I believe that...just proof that cameras have arrived and someone like yourself can get great images from them.
Hey man thank you. Nothing fancy here. I'm using the in camera color profile's and white balance to achieve the look I want. I just make fine adjustments in colors in post production. I've found out that shooting in 422 10bit doesn't make the footage look much better. 420 8bit will do the job perfectly on the GH5. I will do a video, talking about it soon.
@@kenslyder yes i agree with you. If you setting is good in camera according to your desire the outcome will be better even in 8bit. But to achieve that it require set of skills and understanding about the camera. Anyway keep on producing video, sir.
Bear in mind that the GH5 is basically a pro camera, so it's not equipped with a perfect auto-focus system. THis camera will teach yu how to become a pro cinematographer
So beautiful, I really love this. One of my favorites, actually most of the your content is on my tops. Where at in Europe are you? I was born in Landstuhl, Germany. Im looking to visit Europe sometime in the very near future.
this was shot north of Italy my friend. Thank you so much. I recorded this in cine D mode. I bought v-log separately for the GH5 last year after shooting for 7 years with the GH5 almost always in cine D or standard
BRO! I thought before I'm going to answer your question I went watch your channel and I loved your content 😅 So I subscribed, and man you make me miss the u.s. amazing people! To your question bro let me tell ya: EVERY LENS WORKS it just changes the way you film if you film wide angle or close. I don't know what lens you have. On this video were you dropped your comment I was filming with a zoom lens (LEICA 12-60mm 2.8) because I didn't want to carry to many lenses with me for this. We just went for a walk. But, with the Zoom lens I had more options if filming wide shot's 12-20mm ore close up's, going with 35-60mm. Having a lens like a 50mm is just a beauty when you film close ups that gives your subject a more realistic look in shape, like when you're looking into a mirror with no distortion and also it compresses the whole image like bringing the background closer to your subject, that gives just this cinematic look! So the Leica 12-60mm 2.8 Zoom lens is a great option for film making. But it's in low light situation's where this lens start to show up the weaknesses do to the aperture of 2.8 to 4.0 there is no much light hitting the sensor at night or low light in general. And so I've got 2 other very affordable NATIVE lenses. The Panasonic 25mm at f/1.7 (with a great autofocus) for like 120BOX. It's very cheap for what you get man and it's beautiful to shoot with that in Low light. I made to short films just using this lens. It's on my channel. And I've got a lens from Sigma 56mm at f/1.4 (more expensive like 400BOX with autofocus! There is also a cheaper one from Panasonic. It's the Panasonic 42.5mm f/1.7 with autofocus cost around 300BOX. It's so nice to have one or more of these fast lenses with that aperture for low light and shallow depth of field, background blur and bokeh!
Hi Carla! Thank you very much for your comment! No, I didn't do any color grading or luts. I believe that Panasonic has already very good colors. So when I move to a location I often use to shoot in Cine D mode and set the white balance manually. I set how much contrast and saturation I like all in camera. So I'll get the look I want. When I move home to edit the video I often have just to make little steps in color grading. Like a little bit more contrast or less. A little bit more saturation or less, until it's perfect to my eyes. :)
The GH5s has some better specs but no in body stabilization. For me being a run and shoot person it's great to profit from the IBIS system. So I personally would choose the GH5 again ..
