Yes, Panasonic have the cross to display the eye detection mark instead of a bright singular box. The human/face eye detection is brilliant in situations where your subject is moving. The detection will prioritise the eyes but when they're not in shot then it'll prioritise the head, then torso and so on. Pretty smart...
Hey there... GREAT VIDEO!!! I am a hybrid wedding shooter and I can't find this specific answer anywhere and hoping someone here can help. What happens when you are in photo mode but hit the RED record button? Will it record using the CURRENT settings in Photo Mode or will it switch to the last VIDEO settings from Video Mode? I hope it pulls from the video settings and even uses the Log format and LUT preview too, despite being in Photo mode and then jump back to the Photo settings when I end the video clip. Thanks for any help on this.
Hey Jaime 😊 Thank You for watching! The default mode for this is that the photo settings & video settings are linked together. So picture style, aperture, etc are all the same. The thing to note is that in photo mode, you cannot select the 6K quality options, this is limited to the video mode only. To unlink the settings, there is a menu called "CreativeVideo Combined Set" in the settings menu under the second page in image quality. In there you can select which settings are linked and which are separate. When you are in photo mode and start recording via the red button then it will take the video settings you last used in video mode. The downside to this is that it doesn't copy over the photo style ie Log, that is something you'll have to change manually if required. I hope this helps, let me know if you have anymore questions! Thanks, Olivia
Panasonic were saying late May/June last time we heard. You can place a pre-order though to get in on the list early! If you're in the UK then: www.wilkinson.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=s5%20iix 😀
