Ten years ago I had the same problem with my Panasonic NV-DA1. When the cassette was in the mechanism, pushing the PLAY button, the tape didn't run. When ejecting the cassette, the tape remained jammed in the mechanism. I took it to a repair shop and they fixed it. I used the camera a dozen of times since and then stored it in a closet. Yesterday I wanted to transfer a few cassettes with the computer and the problem was back again! Now the repair shop is not on business anymore and I don't know who can repair the camera...
I have the same problem my Panasonic nv gs15 when I put the tape the will stuck inside and always make this sound a says PUSH THE RESET SWITCH if anyone know the problem
Giulia Panico I have the same camera and 2 days ago it worked fine. All of a sudden the screen just turned white and now whenever I turn the camera on, the screen is white.
have pretty much the same problem. i believe its a very common problem with this series of cameras, i seem to have a temporary solution to be able to get the door closed. after ejecting the tape deck, pull the deck towards the door (the zoom rocker) of the camcorder until you hear a slight "whirr" and then it should be able to close and the deck retracts in. same thing as well when trying to eject the tape. but if your too concerned about the contents of the tape, i wouldn't even try.
I had the same exact horrible issue, but with the worst ever Camcorder of all times the infamous JVC regardless of the series...it's bad bad and absolute disaster camera and regret it a lot wasted my money on that crap that last for only less than 4 years and was all over. I wish to shoot that bastard who produced it in the first place. However, I've found Panasonic to be the most reliable and best mini dv cam I've ever used then Canon, Sony and Samsung after. I am super surprised and very sorry to see you've been having hard time with Panasonic on this occasion.😕
@@CANADA-fq9fh Comprei minha camara e, 2009.
I remember I had my GS75 do exactly this under warrenty at four months. It had to be sent for warrenty repairs and had to have a new drum and new mechanism.
+Hope Hussain: unfortunately, when it comes to a mechanism failure you can fix it.... however, nowadays, it's gonna cost you a lot my brother only if you're lucky to find someone to fix such a Vintage Technology like this.....The crappy JVC cost me in 2009 maybe equivalent to S100 US Dollars or even more....I thank God this is no longer the case when you have UHD-2,4 and 8K. For sure, I wish you best of luck 👍
+Hoor Hussain: maybe $100 Dollars over 10years ago was nothing.... God knows, imagine how much would cost you nowadi that's if you find someone to fix it. I don't even think the Manufacturer would help simply because they stopped doing the Retro Technology sister since it's been replaced with the incredible UHD.. you might as well go for another second hand to save yourself headache, hustle and bustle etc..
