The Panasonic RF-1150 Six Band Shortwave Receiver is an excellent, Classic Analog Experience. Sporting a Six and One Half Inch Monster Sized Speaker, Signal Strength Needle Indicator, Ribbon Style Dial, BFO for SSB listening, and an all Aluminum front plate to dress it all up. During this Daytime Medium Wave Band Scan, the RF-1150 had no trouble pulling in the stations with its on-board 200mm Ferrite Antenna.

Excellent video. Was still watching the Dallas Philadelphia game that the Wisconsin radio station was covering! I love vintage shortwave radios, and hope you will do many more of these videos.

Another exceptional radio from the now considered vintage period 70s/80s. I have a version of this radio ie the GX600 (there is also a GX600MB with marine band), the version I have has LW instead of MB (and CB)which suits me as I'm in Europe and there is still some radio stations on LW here. Audio is powerful as my one has the Loudness switch and FM muting.

Hej Wow BiG BOY😀😀 nice radio have just seen your bandscan and enjoyed my morning coffee. I look at a little more sofirn flashlights yep Todderbert, effect but absolutely what wonderful flashlights it is my little Sofirn SC 21 Wow love it. A Sofirn Flashlight I am looking at and considering buying now is the Sofirn SF47T Tactical Flashlight it's supposed to be an incredible thrower. People seem to be happy with it would be fun if you could test it at some point in the future take care have a nice evening.

Just picked one up for 30$. The tuning dial only rolls about 2/3rds of the span. Think I’ll open it up and see if it’s something obvious. Didn’t have a power cord as well. Pretty psyched though to find these are well regarded

@@todderbert I saw that too on eBay. Would prefer to get this one operational. Even if I spent 150 on a parts unit, these are selling top dollar over 400. Your channel has me hooked! Now I’m looking for old radios everywhere around town!

Those are great, and well worth having, but it doesn't match the RF2200 for AM/WM DX and SW tuning dial accuracy.. The sound quality of the 1150 is slightly better to my ears, though. If you;re into SSB they both drift too much, so you do not want either s your only SSB rig. Don;t let that put you off though as they do everything else VERY well.

I agree, my RF-2200 has an incredibly accurate dial, and has a lower noise floor...so much to discover on the MW band...I got lost tonight because it was picking up everything. I was actually using the RF Gain quite a bit :)
