Here's a collection of various ringtones that are preloaded on DECT6 Panasonic telephones. Recorded from a sound blaster clone with a real OPL3 chip Original MIDI files can be found here: onj3.andrelouis.com/phonetones...
I heard that panasonic ringtones are not played on an opl3. It was really played by the sitel-dialog-renesas softsynth that was in the landlines. The drums kinda sound PCM-ish, but the melodic samples are FM-sampled.
Hmmmm interesting, I wonder if Panasonic sampled from the OPL3 or some kind of synth to create the sampleset. I thought these used custom SMAF clones that emulated a SMAF
@@Colour_roblox They both use Yamaha's FM synthesis sound chips. While the Sega one is mostly a lite/diet DX7, the phone one is SMAF, and the first two versions are actually almost the same as the Soundblaster/Adlib cards in DOS PCs

@@user-em1pg3oi9c The FM sound unit for the Master System is a YM2413, which is the OPLL, completely different from the OPN that's the Mega Drive. The OPLL is basically a YM3526 but with an additional waveform and with a set of hardcoded instruments and 1 voice for custom instruments.
yes this is what i can choose for greenhill/emerald hill community college career center service building for that ring tone at @3:06 including at @0:00 or sonic ringtones etc.
Indeed. This was played on a real OPL3. The engineers at Panasonic use the default OPL3 presets on the phones, which I believe the hardware is likely a Yamaha MA SMAF clone (I can tell the FM quality on those handsets sound emulated, worse than a real MA chip.)
Here looking for my grandparents old ring tone Edit- ITS 0:51 AHHHHHH Story time, when I was young before they got rid of the phone because of hurricane Harvey, I would always be so scared of the ring tone and I would run to my grandma because she wasn't scared. So when I would sleep in the living room or their bed, throughout the night when it would go off, I would cover my ears and get really scared
