I shouldn’t had said “paid firmware”; firmware updates are free, just certain pro video features will be locked. It is for whoever need those features to pay for unlock. Kind of like, if you don’t care about video shooting, yo don’t pay for them in the camera price.
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
I have to give credit to Photo Gear News ru-vid.com where I've worked there for a while, who came up with "First Lok", and I simply can't help to steal it~
Hello, do you have a personal relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ? The Son of God. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. - Romans 10:9. And please ask the Lord Jesus to bless you with wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and discernment. And please ask the Lord Jesus to forgive you for all of your sins and transgressions.
Its a focused camera, but I wouldn’t tell canikon to take note. The duel card slot is useless unless you save jpg to SD. It need to the same format for each card for ideal speed. XQD is prettttty quick. The physical controls are utterly lacking compared to the eos r and Z series. The canikon has the ergo and shootability down, thats something Sony hasn’t even nailed. The majority of us don’t shoot human faces or will actually push the best af to its limits. The A line has seem a lot of maturity as well. The first series of cameras aren’t even worth using over a dslr snd the 2nd series got it to be usable. Canikon landed between the 2nd and 3rd gen. Thats really good for cameras aim’d at the 5d/D### tier. When the 2nd gen and pro mirrorless cameras come out “along with users and actual lenses that pros would use rather than adapting” you’ll see then reach the sony heights without sonys bullshit along the way. If you do actual hybrid still/video and want to get into the L mount this seems like the camera to get... but how many hybrid shooters are actually shooting video..
It seems to me that Sigma will provide the "affordable" lenses, such as their Art series; Panasonic will do the mid-range, with Leica covering the very top end. I could be way off in this assessment, though.
Basically a full frame G9. Everyone said I was stupid for saying that camera would kill the game if it had an APSC sensor. Now it has full frame and everyone is praising it.
When I bought my first mirrorless camera ten yrs ago, I love how small and light it is. Easily fit into my jacket pocket with the compact lens. I was hoping the full frame version won't get too big... This just look like it's not too much smaller than a regular full frame DSLR!! There are many very good full frame camera out there (DSLR or not). Not really that ground breaking...
You can later on use your beloved Hasselblad CF lenses on this. ATG Gold HP Adapter will be available in late 2020. They are flooded with pre-paid orders. The Hasselblad's photographers will soon be able to use their CF lenses once again.
Wow! Thanks Lok, I really appreciate the straight to the point look. It looks a game-changer and a likely winner but for a couple of things prevent me from jumping on it when I consider how I keep leaving my Sony A7RIII at home and using the GX8, mainly for the flip-out VF and tilting EVF for tripod shots and the kit that does the same thing is 1/3 the weight and half the size. I also prefer the offset EVF of the rangefinder form, and if Panasonic had cued off of the GX8 design with the flp-out screen, and tilting EVF they would have Canon, Nikon and even Sony and Fuji playing catch-up, and If they did a M4/3 adaptor and 2X crop mode with say 6K? Well...
Smarter AF and potential IS performance is intriguing. Start going to the gym, so when the final version arrives you aren't tired after an hour of carrying it. I will keep Adorama on my short list of retailers I will buy from, for helping keeping your channel alive. 👍
Panasonic is just giving everyone what they want. If it covers the flaws of GH5, then they will have captured the market, give or take a lens ecosystem.
And just because I know somebody will try to excuse it by saying, "well, it's still comparable to Super 35", _you don't get a full frame camera to not use the full frame._ Also, according to Jared Polin, there's a record time limit when recording 4K at 60 FPS.
Hello Lok do you think the S1R would be better then the a7iii for street / landscape? I have the a7iii but am terrified of the weather sealing on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was think about using the a7iii as a back up / videography.
Good work. I wonder if Panasonic is now going to desert the enthusiast and beginner MFT designs they used to do so well. I don't like the weight aspect of the S1, and the price, with new lenses, is distinctly sobering.
Is the AF for sure much much better than GH5? As GH5 autofocus is unusable in my opinion even on the latest firmware. Are you saying 4K60 is cropped? If that's the case I must skip, I can't be cropping anything. And I wish it did real 4K60 full frame (no crop) with 10bit 4:2:2 HLG internally. I guess this means I must wait for something else. This also seems way too heavy. I film videos for 8 hours in a day, you're getting tired after just 1 hour.
Nicolas, sounds like you should be using an external recorder. FF 4k60 with 10-bit 4:2:2 HLG internally.... yeah, not gonna happen any time soon. Keep waiting.
@@brois841 I believe the X-T3, the XF705 both those do 4K60 in 10bit 4:2:2 internally right now. Just I cannot consider the X-T3 has no IBIS and the Canon XF705 way too bulky and expensive..
@@charbax nope... here are the X-T3 options: All-Intra: 4K/30P 4:2:0 10-bit Long-GOP: 4K/60P 4:2:0 10-bit HDMI Out to external recorder: 4K/60P 4:2:2 10-bit www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/x/fujifilm_x_t3/features/page_05.html Plus, that's not FF. If you want your specs in FF, you'll get them with an external recorder today, otherwise, like I said.... keep waiting.
Yes, I look forward to seeing this in action. The deciding factor for me is Sigma releasing the ART primes and a new dedicated lens line for the L System; makes it truly viable with that range and price-to-performance. L Mount Alliance is very exciting :)
Interesting hands on review Lok. You made the camera sound compelling and worth a closer look. This is very reasonable. In contrast, camera reviewer/buzz kill, Tony Northrup, pilloried the camera, tearing it down and stomping it into the ground with his nasty, flip-flop clad dogs. Northrup goes at it these days as if he’s a Sony secret agent clandestinely employed to trash all of Sony’s competition. Sony Northrup indeed. This has become his problem. Instead of reviewing cameras based on their own merits, or lack thereof, he has set Sony’s cameras up as the gold standard against which all other cameras must conform or otherwise be condemned.
If Panasonic/Lumix wants to complete with Fujifilm in the camera market, and I'm not talking about sensor size, they better not charge money for their firmware updates. They're firmware updates should ALL be FREE.
Manufacturer have a real problem with flip out screens it seems^^ Still deal breaker for me, even that looks like a dope camera. Thanks you panasonic, but no. Will wait for the sony a7s iii with a flip screen. Good vid man, thanks :)
