Panasonic TC-381G Fail 

Got my first ever electric shock off a similar portable Panasonic telly. You can always rely on a piece of Panasonic equipment from the '80s to have at least 1 de-legged, leaky or otherwise failing capacitor. Some of the big filters in Technics amps of the time like to violently explode even after appearing to be perfectly good and the little signal caps always go too.

Great to see a telly from my home town of Moordown Bournemouth. I remember the shop in the 80’s tried to get a job there, seeing as I lived around the corner.

Shame, keep it in one piece in case a transformer turns up.

Aha! A new class of cap: the Unidexter (if I remember the Pete and Dud sketch correctly).
