On a hi end system the 9000 WILL make a difference via a better power supply than the 820. Also you can use an upgraded ac cord that is much better shielded from external noise than the cheap 10c ac cord that the PRC provides. This will work only on a hi-end system. I have such a system. Picture-wise there would be NO difference.
I have the UB9000 - exquisite build quality. The on screen display and menu layout is abysmal and poorly designed. I bought this unit when I sent my OPPO 203 for service so now I have two 4K blu ray players as a redundancy contingency. 🙂

No mkv 4k files or mkv bluray files played no buy my OPPO will even play BDMV file , got on my 4k movies rip on a 4 bay 12 terabyte each nas Hard drive .
