The Bigtreetech Panda touch (for Bambu lab printers) is the same hardware as the K-touch (for Klipper machines), so that means we can have fun swapping firmware! In this video I go over how to do that and show the full setup. Follow along to see all this handy device can do.

Thanks for this - i just swapped mine over to Ktouch - i had not used the screen for my P1S in a long time. One thing i think would rule (if possible) is if BTT adds webcam capabilities

I agree. Unfortunately I don't think it's possible. Video would require too many resources making it tough for the rest to keep working smoothly. I think they'll could add a snapshot feature though. Where it could grab an image every so many seconds.

Thanks for the vid. I just ordered one to put on my modded Ender 3 that has a BTT E2EZ and klipper. It really is nice not to have run a HDMI cable. I modded a Qidi X-Max-3 and had to run a hdmi to a new screen, this would have been much easier.

It definitely makes for a painless setup. From what I gather, there's a bunch of upgrades coming to the K~touch soon too.

I'm not sure what you are referring to but the panda touch firmware is at 1.0.4.1 github.com/bigtreetech/PandaTouch/tree/master/Firmware/1.0.4.1.

And that was easy for you? I did not understand anything about after extracting.. Other tuber made it so much easier, just plug and play.. 😔

Yeah very easy. You cannot plug and play a Panda touch to a Klipper firmware machine. If you want a closer out of box experience then it's best to get a k-Touch to start with since the compatible firmware is already on it. This is for those that want to convert from a Panda touch to a k-Touch without buying a new unit.
