We test and tune the Pandarus Elite arrows with the Fivics 46# and 44# limbs. We test the arrows with Bohning Impulse and AAE Hybrid vanes.
We then test the arrows with a compound bow. We discuss tuning, the arrows, and the scores we have shot on the first day with the arrows.

problem with archery is once you got you and your bow tuned, you don't want to flush it down the toilet with changing your gear. It takes days of shooting to get back where you left off. So the new collar and point shank can all play tricks with your dynamic spine. Also having new nocks for your string also have an effect on the result. So many variables into the equation that are changing.

You look like your spazzing out when the clicker goes off!🖖🏼😂👍🏼

I had a similar problem with my ACE's, cut an inch off the length and dropped from 120 to 100 grain points and inserts and moved the clicker. I was shooting in the same group with both fletched and unfletched arrows at 20 yards.

Steven, If you want to take a deep dive into Olympic recurve tuning, check out Jake’s tuning videos and/or his book Tuning for Performance.

You may also find a SS point makes a shaft react stiffer than a W point because the SS point shank is longer and stiffens that part of the arrow.

Does knock tuning affect the arrow as bad on a recurve
@gibsonlife573
@gibsonlife573 Год назад
I have heard a lot of people say about compound bow that they will tune their bow so it has a rip to the left to the right up or down so they know that the arrow is doing that every time if it is a bullet hole your hand working affected a lot worse I'm thinking that's what they're meaning and these are pro archers that do this
@gibsonlife573
@gibsonlife573 Год назад
You got a question do people not knock tune their arrows when it comes to recurve

hello i read that the spin chart is fantaisist. i want to try this arrow for my recurve bow 38lbs and my compound bow 54lbs what do you think about the spin ? my draw lenght is 30 pouces for recureve and 31.5 for the compound
@gibsonlife573
@gibsonlife573 2 года назад
I would think that it does because on a compound you want yourarrow to flex down and then straighten up Whereas on a recurve bow you want it to flex out and around

Did you change the centre point of the bow to suit non parallel shifts?

I was shooting 500 on a 40lb barebow. I dropped the weight of the bow but they were still showing too weak. Lost 20 grains of the ss points but again too weak. Ended up sawing and inch off and the fletched arrow and the bare shaft were dead centre on the target and touching. Just need to alter the rest Have noticed that the bare shafts are very unforgiving if my form is not exact

Are these cut from only the front or part from front and part from the back?

the shot release seems to be "locked" i.e. the elbow doesn't shoot back. Fingers release and then the arm is almost moved manually to "complete" the shot. The compound shot is much more like it should be with the recurve as well :) (I'm sure I'm not quite there yet myself either...)

Bare in mind barrelled shafts react a lot weaker dynamically. So you would need one or two spine group stiffer when choosing arrows like the easton X10, ACEs, and the pandarus CA320, since the spine charts are measuring the static spine rather than the dynamic spine. For a reference I shoot 450 x10s 120grin tungsten which tune at about 44lbs (on fingers) 29 inches, where according to the spine chart I should be on 500 or even 550, which I have also tried and showing weak.
@allywilkeforsenate
@allywilkeforsenate 10 месяцев назад
No you need to learn to cut from the back of the arrow.
@RedmercyGG
@RedmercyGG 10 месяцев назад
@@allywilkeforsenate Cutting from the back stiffens the arrow beyond the chart can predict, and also reduces the arrow's forgiveness for finger shooters. For compound please buy tapered shaft (rather than barrelled), such as the X10 protour & pandarus CA320 pro, as they are specifically designed for a stiffer dynamic spine wihtout the need for finger release forgivness.

Can you get and review the KAIMEI brand bows

You aren’t using the same point weight as your vaps. You have the added collar weight up front. So 120 gr plus whatever the collars weigh.

x10 is straight like the acc, ca320 is baralled like the easton x10. confusing, i know

I shot ACC's for years. Now I'm pretty much just doing the recurve with skinny arrows. 4.2mm & now my 3.2mm Pandarus Icepoints. I haven't fletched them yet & I'm still trying to get the right length so I don't butcher 2 dozen shafts that take alot of time to get here in the US. But I'm pretty happy right now with the Icepoints. But I have 40 lb limbs & 44 lb limbs to compare. The 44 lb limbs have more carbon in them so starting tomorrow when I shoot them I should have more intel on the setups. I make the arrows & put alot of time into shooting bare shafts & learn what works w/o the help of fletches. Shooting strong starts from getting the equipment price while maintaining discipline to not let down all the hard work u put into it.

Wait a minute you're saying you don't set the limbs in the riser like everybody else is uses those little blocks and they adjust the limbs to where they're dead down the center of the string is that down the center you don't do that you just put them in Click them in put your string on cuz I been thinking about going and getting me a recur

A/C arrows made by a famous company from China, the price is quite high..indeed, the micro diameter shaft is quite expensive even though it is not from Easton, gold tip or carbon express ..

I shoot compound about like you are shooting recurve today. A lot of trial and error with recurve. That was going to be my sud=ggestion, switch to steel points. Guess you could cut the shafts down to stiffen them but you'd still need to change your clicker. Didn't realize tungsten points were longer than steel on the outside of the shaft..

Arent these shafts are barreled just like an x10 so they may tune like an x10. I have found 110 grain points work best. I am excited to try them!

Those arrows are extremely weak. At 18m they should hit straight and in the middle if the spine was correct. That tune at 30m, which is where you should be doing it, the bare shaft will probably miss the bale. You should go down probably to 42 pounds in the fingers. For 46 pounds limbs and 52 in fingers (as I though I heard you say) you probably need a 350-380 spine. The crooked bareshaft means a false reading at 18m. Those are much weaker than you see based on the impact point.

What on earth is this video trying to show. He’s using a compound bow which he admits not being comfortable with and a little out of practice with. I what to know how this arrows perform compared to eastern x10 protours. If you are going to test archery equipment can you please be a little bit more serious about it. I was thinking about purchasing some, from this video I want bother.
