Indian classical music doyen Pandit Jasraj and the king of bhajans Anup Jalota talk on THE RKB SHOW together and come to the conclusion that "RKB is a magician...he has made us sing in a restaurant..."
Wow! Wonderful! Let's revolutionise the listening experience of global audience with unique, healing music like this! Would be glad to have exchanges of ideas!
I felt the anchor was too casual for this interview and rough while addressing the restaurant staff. It shows a lot. He must show respect to such a senior artist like Pandit Jasraj ji.
Agree Panditjee is our Guru God unka Repsect hona chahiye. Restaurant ko Mandir bananeki baat thik nahi lagi. Media kya kuch bhi karte hai khud ki publicity ke liye
He promised to keep Pandit ji's piece at the end but at that time he didn't know Anup ji will sing a Bhairavi, which is most apt for the ending, so no issues there.
great jasraj ji ,but if anybody ask this question with pandit ji ,who is best lata or rafi ,1000 per pandit ji will tell lata is best ,yeh kahne se rafi sahab ko koi fark nahi padh ta .
The interviewer appears stupid in the middle of the two doyens of classical vocal singing. He didn't have incisive questions. The ambiance was the worst as in a restraunt two persons are seen on a distant table having tea. Have you ever imagined of a conversation on Indian classical music when waiters are cranking cutleries around the singers?
A TV interviewer is supposed to wear many caps, different for each subject. He cannot be expected to be an authority on the subject, and doesn't need to be. His role is limited to making the conversation flow smoothly, especially when you have two great artistes like this at hand. What kind of knowledge of Hindustani (not Indian) classical music is one expected to display before such greats. I think he did a very good job and exploited the potential of both the artistes in a limited environment, to the fullest. Kudos.
