Dear Mr Shuvam Ji...This IS Very Old Recording of Pandit Samaresh Chowdhuri ji...Concord Record...Since 1988 Records.... And Accompaniment with Pandit ji is My Father Pandit Ananda Gopal Bandopadhyay ji and on Harmonium By Ustad Mehfooz Khan......Thats All.........There is no Hiranmoy Mitra Playing Here.......

I will defiantly upload those recording also...but unfortunately Rageshri and other one ragas cassete was very bad condittion...so i am searching those ragas....if i get then i must Upload ....Thank you so much Shuvam ji.

@@prangopalbandopadhyay2321 Thank you for confirming the 1988 recording of Yaman by Panditji! How I miss the Ragesree of the twin pack! By the way I have immensely enjoyed the very subtle and classy accompaniment of Ananda Gopal Babu which is actually his hallmark. For serious followers of Hindustani Classical especially who have a soft corner for Vocal music, Anandababu's Tabla accompaniment is an added attraction, an extra gem which lifts the Vocalist's performance and adds many more feathers in the vocalist's cap indeed! I have always marveled at how effortlessly Pandit Ananda Gopal Bandyopadhyay seems to perform - how effortlessly he blends with the vocalist / instrumentalist, not once trying to gain an upper hand or to be distinctive while at the same time enhancing greatly the overall quality / standard of the recital. In that sense I have always enjoyed his performances with vocalists rather than instrumentalists. I have listened with awe when Anindya Babu accompanied artists like Hariprasad Ji or Shivkumar Ji or Rais Khan Saheb with the intricacies, the clarity and unbelivable speed that is his signature - but the incredibly sweet touch of Ananda Babu with the gifted vocalists is just out of the world (Like Lalji Gokhale with the one and only Pandit BJ!) My most enjoyable must have been where he had accompanied Sri Arun Bahduri (long back - more than 30 years maybe - I forget the year though) and what magic they weaved. Brings back those memorable times replete with good music and peerless artists. I pray to God so that you also achieve bigger milestones and find fulfillment in music and be worthy like your truly worthy father, our beloved Ananda Gopal Babu. A Koh-i-noor among artists. Thank you for your uploads and look forward to many more samples of these timeless performances.

So that you are able to make your illustrious father proud. And I shall always pray for Anandagopal Babu's good health and many many more years of sparkling music. He is one of those brilliant men who captivated me with their subtlety and fineness and who by their music taught me to distinguish between (good) music and the NONSENSE which passed of as music! Brings back old memories! How I was totally and absolutely mesmerised with Panditji's percussion especially with vocalists. The class - the refinement , the overall effect. You may find this a tad repetitive but while on the subject of your father's music and his era (days of my youth when I was a regular fixture at the less popular concerts ) I can go on an on. Please continue to upload classical gems (I intend to follow you avidly) and please convey my most respectful pranams at the feet of your dear father our very own and beloved Ananda Gopal Babu. Yes You Rea Right Shuvan ji....There IS twin Cassetes 4 Ragas Pandit Sang....Both Twin Cassete Recording Is My Father Playing Tabla With Samaresh Uncle ji.....Really This One Very Precious.....Thas Why I Made this Video With Two Raga .....One Yaman and Bhatiyar......

@@prangopalbandopadhyay2321 I remember buying the double cassette album containing bhatiyar, rageshree, bairagi bhairav etc. sometime around '87-88. Although I did not learn vocal music from him, he was our music teacher during my tenure 77-83 in the school. Played football with him :-)

@@ribusgan You are a lucky man sir. You must be from RK Mission Narendrapur where Samareshbabu taught music. I also had this twin pack which I had purchased probably in 88 Or 89 and was absolutely mesmerised by all the 3 Ragas (Bairagi was the fourth one which I don't particularly fancy) and the Ragesree actually became a benchmark of sorts for me while sampling Ragesree by other great vocalists. I daresay the Ragesree is the best I have heard from any vocalist and I will not be immodest in saying that I have heard quite a few great recitals by giants both recordings as well as in person (concerts). Very few times I was moved to the extent this Ragesree moved me. It is sheer magic - just put me in a trance and this infatuation still holds me in its permanent embrace. Rarely have I been influenced by an artist like Samareshbabu in his hey days. Alas, God Almighty took him away from us too early. You are indeed lucky to have experienced this great artist's company.
