Gah, I cut it way too close this time. I suppose I paid by price by watching the now beast-like Elena revel in joy after taking a bite out of the flesh. It's not the first time it's happened, but it's still a little painful to watch. She seems so.. enthusiastic about eating it.. Maybe it's because she's so desperate to regain her humanity, or maybe it's because the flesh actually tastes nice while she's in that form.
I can't help but feel something bad is going to happen to the happen to the family in the flashbacks. They're going through a hard time, but it's still a little too peaceful. My money's on something happening to Ruben.. Speaking of those dream-like flashbacks, I really like how they're presented. The art is neato.
Hm, the mark on Elena's back seemed to be glowing after she awoke from her nightmare. That, the torn bedsheet, and the fact that Aeron was wide-awake.. she couldn't have transformed without Aeron noticing, could she? Although, I guess the mark could've triggered the flashback causing her to rip the sheet and awaken Aeron..
I really liked her facial expressions during that scene. They expressed her horror quite well.
Aha! So that's why I always find berries in the Courtyard during the day, but not during the night.
Eh, so Elena breaks any gift that's given to her as an accessory if she transforms. Damn, that's expensive. Another reason to try harder, I guess.
So the cursed have tried tearing the skin of their back to rid themselves of the curse. Okay. That's good to know.
