I'll admit I felt a little bad after killing the Second Master, but I instantly forgot about that once I saw Elena fall down to the floor in her monstrous slug form. The area outside the Observatory seems to also change as the curse progresses. I hate it imagine what both she and it would be like if there were only a few minutes left to spare, or worse, if I didn't make it in time..
That 'A Slip of the Pen' journal entry is adorable:
"Aeron and I are together. Making a life with the man I love makes me feel excited about the future.

Oh, Elena. ;p Soon.
Huh, her full monster form is ridiculously fast.. I just hope there'll be no need to fight it.. :|
And she has a such a nice singing voice~
