En este video preparamos Panellets, un dulce a base de almendra molida, azúcar y huevo, que, en Cataluña y otras comunidades, se acostumbra a consumir la noche del 31 de octubre durante la celebración de la Castanyada y el 1 de noviembre Día de Todos los Santos. En esta ocasión he preparado los más tradicionales recubiertos, unos de piñones y otros de almendra, pero los podemos encontrar también de chocolate, café, coco, membrillo o cereza.

In this video we prepare Panellets, a sweet based on ground almonds, sugar and egg, which, in Catalonia and other communities, is customary to consume on the night of October 31st during the celebration of la Castanyada and on November 1, All Saints' Day. On this occasion I have prepared the most traditional coated ones, some with pine nuts and others with almonds, but we can also find them with chocolate, coffee, coconut, quince or cherry.
If you have never made them, I encourage you to try this recipe because they come out so good, you won't be able to eat just one.
Ingredientes:
90 g de huevo (1,5 huevos aprox.)
175 g de azúcar blanquilla
Ralladura de la piel de medio limón
275 g de harina de almendra, marcona preferiblemente
130 g de piñones
100 g de almendra troceada
2 yemas de huevo
1 chorrito de agua

175 g (6.2 oz) white sugar
Zest of half a lemon
275 g (9.7 oz) almond flour, preferably marcona
130 g (4.6 oz) pine nuts
100 g (3.5 oz) chopped silvered almonds
2 egg yolks
1 splash of water
