Happy with your compliment! Thank you Chris! So, do I see you back on my Fish Tales channel:)? If you click on carpaccio you will see some more boat-cooking...
Yessir! I already liked/watched all the videos on your page. Excited to see what you've got coming next. We were visiting Pike's Place in July and caught/ate some steelhead trout along the Oregon/Washington border. We love fish!
Wow, Bart, this is a wonderful place to cook, the fish right out of the water and sharing the lovely dish with the fishers, a great way to say thank you.... Looking forward to your recipes, dank je wel
Thank you so much! Yes, this was an amazing place to cook. I believe I have never had such a fresh fish on my plate. The time in between catching & cooking was not more than 30 minutes! And lovely to live, fish and cook with these beautiful Yup'ik fishermen and woman! See you on a next Fishy Friday at Fish Tales! Cheers
Aw I was real happy to see him share with fishers! Should totally try this dish out, wasn't sure if I could combine my lentils with fish. Now i have to.
Bart! Stopped by to tell you i tried my salmon according to this video (not the fishy freshness though but the way how it was prepared) The results was superb! The crispy skin and the soft oily fishiness inside made it so delicious! thanks! will do this again
Hey From Colorado! This makes me want to go to Alaska and hook some Salmon. This makes me want to go to Alaska to hook a hunky Dutchman! Keep up the great work Bart! With love from the Mary Ann & Ruthie Show.
***** Voor Nederlanders klinkt het Nederlandse accent misschien lelijk, maar ik heb van Amerikaanse mensen gehoord dat ze het juist leuk vinden klinken, haha!
Thank you Stef! This salmon is so tasteful. This Yukon keta salmon is the most oily salmon in the World. Hope to see you back on my Fish Tales Channel! xB
I just did! Just have seen the guacamole. Love it! Awesome! Will have a closer look on your other video's later on with a glass of wine tonight! Thank you for your subscription:)
Yes, quite unbelievable but this is real salmon. We are often used to the color of farmed salmon where all the fish have the same diet and therefore exactly the same color. In case of wild salmon, you will find all different kind of colors as a result of the different diets the all have (they eat in wild). And besides, wild salmon taste much better as well. On my Fish Tales channel you will find another great salmon story (Salmon Teriyaki). Would be great to see you back there!
Bart's Fish Tales You have earned my subscription, good sir. Looking forward for a lot more recipes from you. Coming from a fishing town, I love new ways to cook fish.
The town of Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia where you can just walk down the street and buy fresh fish caught just a few hours out of the water. The bountiful and cheap fish of all kinds has really spoiled me. Come on down someday! You'll enjoy the incredible variant of seafood.
Freshness overload!! Would love to taste that salmon. btw I am studying in the Netherlands now. Your accent and the streets of Amsterdam feels really familiar:)
Haha, yes can't get rid of this Dutch accent:). Great to have you here in Amsterdam! Where are you from? Coming Saturday I am cooking out of my new book at the new Landmarkt store at the Ceintuurbaan. So, if you like to taste some really nice sardines and Alaskan salmon would be great to see you there!
Bart's Fish Tales I am from China and I am studying in Wageningen now. That sounds like a really nice offer but I will probably have a busy weekend:( Looking forward to see more videos from you:) Have fun cooking!
Yep Jop! Really proud to be part of the Food Tube family! Don't forget to subscribe on my Fish Tales channel:). In the next episodes you will find some great Dutch fishing sceneries coming up...
I have a quick question. So I see when people poach fish in salt water or marinate them that of course helps flavor into the muscle. The makes a lot of sense. But wouldn't the fish be salty to start with because they live in salt water? I know they have skin to protect them from the outside world but when I think of a fish they seem like a very exposed animal. Sorry if that sounds stupid but i was just curious why super fresh fish doesn't taste like salt water.
