We use a 25ft low side panga with a Suzuki 115HP 4 stroke and it makes about 4-4.5 MPG....it's awesome!

Might be worth looking at putting a pair of trim tabs on it, like Bennetts. Would help you going upwind, keeping the bow down, but at the expense of fuel consumption. Also helps leveling out the boat side to side in a side wind. It's an easy install and gives you a lot of ride options.

Summer of 2022 and I'm burning 2 gallons a fishing trip using my 25 Foot Eduardono Panga with a 50 HP Etec on the back.I figure the top speed is between 20-25 knots. Maybe 18 miles going around Long Island Bays. Perfect Boat/ Motor during this energy crisis.

Great vid. Question for you. My reason for wanting a Panga is large following seas and bar crossings. That raised bow has to be very helpful. I've had moments being a space cadet Captain and not timing things right, and have stuffed the bow on center consoles. If I pay attention I get it right every time. But sometimes, things go tits up and the bow stuffs. Does this hull help mitigate human error in that regard?

Thank you! It definitely can if you’ve been using lower bowed center consoles. As long as the boat is balanced or you have trim tabs it’ll take following seas pretty well. Higher side BA model might have higher bow since the sides are higher, but not sure. In that case BA would be better but all in all it should be pretty good for what you’re doing. Only think I’d say would be better is just an offshore boat with more deadrise.. not sure what you’ve been using though. Hope this helps.

Appreciate it. Cruise depends if the swell, but it’ll cruise 26 and max at 30. I believe I showed how the transducer was mounted in the first intro video.

Without a jack plate not insanely shallow, with one I’d go about a foot give or take.

If you mean completely beaching the boat like they do in Panama then you’d still need a vehicle to pull the boat I’d assume. Never tried it. I have beached the boat before- bow to sand and didn’t have any trouble re launching. Higher side (BA) version would be better for rougher seas and you’d be dryer. Downfall of this is wind will cause you to drift faster, and it will be a little harder to get back into the boat if you’re diving.

I know you got it as an offshore boat but do you think you can get it up in the shallow flats? I'm thinking of getting a 22' for a boat to fish shallow all the way to nearshore.

If you stick a jack plate on there you should be able to go fairly shallow. 22 would be a great multipurpose for bay and nearshore. Pangas float in almost nothing so it would be a pretty good setup.

A panga will float in 2 feet of water. Kick the engine up and pole in the flats. Better because there is no noise from the motor.
