I run a museum primarily dedicated to Canadian artillery gaving heen an Instructor-in-Gunnery in the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery for 44 years. We fire blanks from a number of our cannon. Excellent video! I am surprised about how much is manually operated on this vehicle! Do you guys have any manuals for the gun? I stumbled upon an incomplete one + mantlet here in the US that was mislabeled as a 25 pounder for some reason and I would like to clean it up
@@fargmotorpool I haven't gotten to pick it up yet, but my usual when getting an aquisition like this is trying to dissassemble (inevitably) frozen parts, clean off corrosion and reoil/grease to prevent any further degradation. I was hoping to ask about the breech mechanism and likely the recoil cylinders etc when that happens if you wouldn't mind.
