Welcome to the US where motorcycle backfire is mistaken for gunfire , balloon popping is mistaken for gunfire but gunfire itself is mistakes for firecrackers.
I remember that. Someone was shot in the neck during the coup that took place 2 months ago and someone said, "oh don't worry guys, it was just a firecracker." In the meantime, this woman is slowly bleeding to death and everyone barely does anything.
Fact: The fear of death causes panic Step 1)go to restaurant and eat le food Step 2)cause panic using le remote controlled motorcycle Step 3)run away with everyone else that thought it's a gunfire You have now consumed a large amount of NYC pizza without paying a dime, trolling New Yorkers in the process, problem new york?
@@br9212 look at their governor, this is literally just a prank to newyorker's at this point. the fact no one died and this made headlines is the shocking part.
There is a reason this behavior is in our genes It's because those who did survived and lived another day to spread their genes while those who didn't ... well.
@@EddsWorld69 well it's really not being tough. I mean are you really afraid to go outside because you're sure that a white supremacist is going to shoot you? And every time you hear a noise you're going to panic and run in fear? I mean I understand that mob stampedes could happen for all sorts of reasons. But many are on here lamenting that our society is now this dangerous or something based on something you hear shoved down your throats. We live in such a media driven world, it's twisted.
Most likely, i remember reading a social experiment done in the late 50s where one guy stood outside a building, it eventually turned into a line up around the block with people not knowing why they were waiting in line. Human nature is easy to figure out, which is why grocery stores have fruits and vegetables near the entrance so people are more likely to buy pizzas, ice cream, and junk food after getting their healthy shopping done.
@@double-og4570 nah thoes people just sound like sheep fools, there literally standing in a lineto stand in a line, no straight minded person would do that
@@kingkai2800 im sure there were people in that crowd scattering just because they saw everyone else scattering. I’m sure not everyone heard the car backfire and all perceived it as a single gun shot. Most are sheep.
@@skankhunt-gf2ib I didn’t see anyone comment this before. But it’s not surprising if one of RU-vid’s biggest memes is first to come to mind in this video for many people
@@AParticularlyConcernedCitizen well, if you live in a city and you hear a gunshot, you know something bad went wrong, but if you live in the rural parts of the country, then it's just an American playing with their toy.
Homer Simpson yeah I’m sure everyone here was a liberal, and that on a loud crowded Times Square it’s SO easy to tell the difference between two different types of loud banging noises. Give me a break, even if you didn’t hear anything you’d be pissing yourself and running with the mob if you were there
@Homer Simpson given your political climate are you willing to take the chance? This is a tourist trap, so most of these people are "invading Foreigners" i would not chance my family or myself either. I didnt know bleaching was a requirement to be American,so you could be targeted too
**in david attenborough voice** "like a herd of antelopes spooked at the slightest noise, the americans stampede: fleeing in terror at the percieved threat of their natural predator, the public shooter"
@@parthsharma688 Air fuel mixture ratio. It is due to rich mixture. 14:1 is Air:fuel mass ratio. If air is less or fuel is more than this ratio, it is rich mixture. Mostly because of aftermarket silencers that allow these small explosion to occur.
@@luthfihudaya954 Throughout Latin America it is common for motorcycles to make that noise of gunshots, as said above, 8/10 motorcycles make that particular noise, I am from Uruguay and it is a bit annoying at times.
Only developed country* I assure you the same happens in South American countries, probably the same in Central America, other comments have mentioned countries from the Indian peninsula so, yeah, it's a common thing for lots of people.
There is a reason this behavior is in our genes It's because our ancestors who had this behavior survived and lived another day to spread their genes (aka getting laid) while those who didn't ... well.
It's also funny how in the conservative scenario, if everyone had a gun, everyone would be safe. The problem is, all that would happen is everyone taking out their guns and not knowing who the original perp was. Someone mistaking one of the people with a weapon as the shooter and getting shot at. That mistake would be seen by another armed individual and that person would be mistaken as shooter. Chaos.
@@Instealer21 a gun is for safety. ever heard the saying it's not the gun, it's the person behind it. if people cant use an operate a gun correctly dont use one at all. and peope who abuse this freedom get locked up. not that hard of a concept to grasp.
I still remember this day! The last time I got to visit New York with my brother. I still remember the panic though, we went up to a group of people as we ran and asked what happened. They had no clue but one said they heard gun shots. I remember they said they were visiting from Canada, they definitely put my brother and I to ease when we were panicking. Hope they are doing well!
I was there too my friend, I’m from Greece , luckily I already was heading towards 6th Avenue , eastwards, I remember people running from behind , I swear that motorcycle backfired again because I heard it again there but of course back then I misinterpreted it for gunshots so I wasn’t sure if I should continue moving eastwards or not .. anyway ,at least nobody was killed that day , definitely a bad experience
@@WildwoodCastle Here in Germany it even hit's a news if a tree falls on a car since theres not alot going on. Im sure THESE kind of problems are always there... The last time Germany spoke about a mass shooting was like 10 years ago.
@@WildwoodCastle dude... i havent seen such things either... and i dont need to live in a heavy armed state... your country had over 250 massshootings this year and yes you are right... it is localized... its only in the usa...
@@vccv9785 Ohh I was just trying to keep it civil, I realized I came across as hostile and decided to just go with insulting. Seriously though, you gonna defend your point? Fear of mass shootings is causing mass shootings? Explain how that one is working, but try to use small words because I'm just a kid.
@@tvtrauma7024 nah man. People in my country would think of a vehicle backfire more than they would think of an armed shooter. Thats because armed shooters are pretty much non existent in my country. A country that doesnt believe in peace will never understand peace
@@tvtrauma7024 Don't think so. Countries where guns are illegal would not think that would be the case. Like people didn't even know how the gun actually sounds in their lifetime prob. Especially for places like South to East Asia, where there are a lot of motorcycle (kinda loud one).
@@tvtrauma7024 @Bobby Fischer was right Its called "not living in the US", if you don't want to be scared of a bicycle tire popping and thinking its a gunshot you should probably go to another country.
Something like this happend at the mall I work at. There was a loud noise and bunch of people took off. Some even dropped their stuff while running. I sat at my desk watching. It was interesting to see people get their composure and resume their lives. Some looked relieved, others laughed. People returned to see what was going on or retrieve their belongings.
@Obama Care Yes, Americans live in fear. Imagine living in a country where owning a firearm is legal and common which causes a lot of school shootings and driveby shootings etc to the point people mistake a freaking motorcycle for a gun. That to me screams living a fear.
Asking people why were they running Asking to Person 1: I heard gun shots Asking to Person 2: I saw people running for their life's. Asking to Person 3: Zombie apocalypse has started Edit: thanks for so many likes
I ran one time in 2014 fastest ever seeing a young guy shoot another in San Francisco Tenderloin district from a few feet in front of me. I don't think I ever ran a city block so fast when I was in the army for it wasn't so scary when you're armed with a bunch of battle buddies on your side locked and loaded which is why we might need to bring the troops home to serve in the states instead of over there.
