Panorama of the Cittadella at break of dawn, Gozo, Malta - 4K 

It has been a while now since restoration works on the Citadel brought it back to its full glory.
Since then, I wanted to shoot this panorama of the front entrance at break of dawn, combining the warm, lit walls with the deep blue sky, brushed by the moving clouds.
Shooting at dawn makes you have the place to yourself. This quiet atmosphere allows me to think of all the people old cities like this have seen coming and going through the ages, transforming a settlement to a fortified City over time.
