Pantai Parigi stands out with its unique features, boasting a thriving reef in the shallows followed by a gentle white sand slope-a welcome departure from the prevalent black sand in the surrounding strait. This site is exceptional for small Crustaceans, particularly commensal species, showcasing a diverse array of marine life including Cephalopods, Frogfishes, Gobys, Mantis Shrimps, Seahorses, Devil fish, and Robust Pipefishes. With luck, divers may even encounter fascinating creatures such as the wonderpus or mimic octopus. In the shallow section of the site, coral blocks offer a habitat for pipefish, tiny sea dragons, and various nudibranchs, enhancing the overall richness of this underwater haven.
The name "Tanjung" translates to cape, and "kusu-kusu" refers to tall or wild grass, indicating the dive site's nomenclature based on the lush grass growing on the cape nearby. This shallow coral and rubble site is home to a thriving community of mandarin fish, making it an ideal location for dusk dives to witness the courtship and mating rituals of these graceful creatures. The maximum depth at this site is 20 meters.
