When comparing Raja Ampat and Bangka for diving, here’s the breakdown: Raja Ampat: Dive Sites: Consistently impressive, earning a solid 5/5 rating. Underwater Wonders: Pristine coral reefs, diverse marine life, and stunning biodiversity. Highlights: Vibrant coral gardens, manta rays, and unique fish species. I'm guessing it's cheaper than investing in establishing buoys. What they should do is get the local dive centers to contribute to a scheme where they establish buoys all along the reef.
@mattstudios740 The Glenn Nusa was originally a tug boat which has now been cleaned and sunk to create a new dive site. It was sunk in February 2016 to create habitat for fish and corals.
@@DivingandDogs that’s cool! I’ve seen a video of people sinking a retired barge! (Cleaned, of course.) but it was amazing seeing it go down from the ships perspective!
@mattstudios740 from a divers perspective, they make excellent dive sites, and where the coral has been destroyed or where the sea bottom is barren, they make excellent artificial reefs.
If there's a better video about Kri Eco Resort I've yet to see it. A pretty comprehensive look at the accommodation & the marine life beautifully shot. I should know, I've stayed there 4 times since 2004!
