I just came across this series not too long ago maybe a week, and the more I see the more I'm terrified, this is low-key a super scary series any ideas of what might could happen in the future, one question I had was if everybody uploads to this thing how are they going to make new people and who's going to run the outside in the real world this is like a voluntary Matrix movie everybody willingly give themselves up to the machine and then for the ones who upload themself early like the young boy wanted to do what happens when he wants to have kids, is he going to have a NPC for a child, matter of fact I just thought about it what if they uploaded a baby would that baby ever grow up and learn inside of the machine would it stay would it only knows as a baby, like I said whoever wrote this or made this series had been basing it off or something real or real idea they had and it's terrifying to think about😢
this is indirectly explained in the show if you watch season 2. minor spoiler... they can upload themselves into robot bodies. also in the show you must be 21 to upload or get permission from your parents to do so earlier and just my speculation... and at some point it becomes pointless to move out of the simulation because you can just pilot a bot from inside the simulation. like vr but in reverse. EDIT: also the thing with babies. it is shown that you can merge two consciousnesses to create a full new one that has a full new personality/consciousness. MIST is a child of David Kim and Laurie Lowell and never had a physical human body
For me it is a hopeful take on one of our potential futures. I personally want this to be our future. And show explained that by using your base code and code of some other uploaded person you can create a whole new being. Like person before said Mist is David's and Laurie's child. She never had a body. She was born as a digital being, grew up and learned about the world same way regular human child did. Just faster. At the end of season 2 there are billions of others like Mist. EDIT: And uploaded child will continue to learn and evolve too. A lot faster than human possibly can. Sci-fi genre explores this topic for around 60 years already.
division and rebuilding of processing speeds, probably. They're a program that would probably copy and paste a base template of itself over and over and over again to fulfill an increasing amount of necessary tasks. Automate this machine over here, move that robot over there, etc.
@@papertigerworkshop1174 Wrong on that one. CI are created by merging conscience of other UI and CI. Resulted CI is essentially a child who has to learn about everything, same way Mist did. Now imagine UI living on overclock, for regular human it could be 1 week, but for UI it can be 5 years. Every UI will have multiple romances through that time. On and Off. This will lead to exponential creation of CI's.
