People haven't really read the patch notes or I dunno, but after the speed nerf, the G outclasses the A in armor and has practically the same turret rotation speed. It can also hold slightly more ammo. (82 unlike the A's 79). The Panther G is just a better Panther A.

@@hunlepto2239 yes but never bring that amount of ammo to the battle if I'm feeling cocky I bring 22 shells if I want to survive as much as possible I bring 16.

@@hunlepto2239 ammo count doesn't matter cos no sane person would bring full ammo anyways. As for the armour, it depends on most people cos some would rather brawl and withstand some damage but I can say for sure that mostly everyone will want to use the A variant cos it's still more reactive and quick to move which is better than a lumbering bunker

i was just about to type the same thing. always going for the turret cheeks is an unnecessary risk, just shoot the lower glacis - there's no transmission or anything there to block your shot so you'll just yeet the entire crew.

@@RYNOCIRATOR_V5 the cheeks are definitely a weak spot for the earlier KV series there is even a flat spot to shoot at, but that is a huge gamble since Volume Metric is introduce. Because the game treat the armor of the gun breech / MG coax / and turret cheek armor as plate on top of plate to stack the armor profile making shot a huge gamble

@@hungthepro1234 oh i'm not saying they're not a weak spot at all, it's just much more difficult to hit, and when you have an over compensator like the panther gun, aiming at anything other than the largest weak spot (read: lower glacis) is silly.

I've hit that, dead centre, with 380mm rocket mortar, and it dealt no damage other than tracking it... this has happened to me at least twice.

Worse? Are you stupid? The Panther A is perhaps the worst Panther in its current state and BR after the top speed and engine power nerf. It's just a simple Panther with a faster turret rotation, the Panther G atleast has the benefit of being more armored without being heavier (it's slightly lighter) and also retaining the exact same turret rotation speed.

@@k_balu-8104 listen up, USA has the M4A2 at the same BR. The Panther in war thunder is better than the M26 pershing, and that piece of s*&# has to fight leopard 1’s and marders. ONLY because Germany mains plays like absolute dorks in the most insanely overpowered vehicles, still losing matches. No American tank at 5.3 Can pen it’s upper front plate. The Panther Can frontally pen the jumbo with the right ammo np. The panther is a medium tank at 5.3 and can frontally take hits from a SUPER PERSHING, AND IT’S 6.7. Germany mains have nothing to complain about. There isn’t even a spawnlimit on the tiger, even though not only twothousand were made. 3.7 - to 6.7 Germany is the most no skill lineups in the game, but unfortunately, we have tiger mains explaining how it’s the best tank of the entire war, while also complaining about it’s BR. WTF man. Just look at 1:14. The jumbo has nothing the panther don’t have. Yet same BR. Jumbo, 104 pen, 35 kph top speed and shitty armour that doesn’t actually matter. It’s basically an M4A2 75mm at 5.3. It’s no heavy tank. The T20 is a good example, it’s 6.0. Try to compare it to a Tiger 2 (p) 0.3 BR difference. 5.3 Germany is like giving a 6 yo the hands of god, lmao.
