I JUST RAN ACROSS YOUR CHANNEL RECENTLY AND HAVE BEE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS. WENT THROUGH MOST OF YOUR PLAYLIST OF MAKING THINGS FROM SCRATCH AND I LEARNED SOOO MUCH AND WERE VERY THANKFUL FOR THAT INFO. GIRL,THERE AINT NOTHING WRONG WITH HAVING TOO MANY SPICES. JUST THE ENDLESS WAYS YALL COULD SURVIVE ON PLAIN FOODS LIKE RICE AND PASTA. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIMENTING WHITE RICE WITH DIFFERENT KINDS OF SEASONING HERE LATELY AND MAKES IT OH SOO GOOD. Enjoying your content. Helpful info. 👍🏼 Our “child” moved out as well and are empty nesters now. Learning to save for a rainy day, so to speak. Still haven’t gotten the courage to can yet, but have started a small garden and freeze a LOT for future use or we share with the neighbors.

You have to try canning! It’s so fun and I know it’s intimidating but it’s so worth it. I’ll have some videos this summer on some basics that I will make easy for you. It’s so strange and thrilling to watch our kids grow isn’t it?

Yep I copied your google doc pasted it in my docs and customized it for us. Easy peasy thanks for your base document. Much appreciated. I also bought a small one burner camping Coleman stove that uses canisters of butane, I am going to be ready the next time.

I use the chalkboard markers. Use an alcohol wipe or a little alcohol on a rag and it wipes clean. I have been using the same chalkboard for 5 years never have repainted it.

What’s up with the Meyer lemons. I got a box from azure and they do not have a very strong flavor.. I made lemon sugar cookies using juice and zest and they did not have much flavor. I want to use to make a lemon curd but worried about not having much flavor.

They are actually sort of a lemon and orange hybrid. They are much sweeter and less intense. I find it I lower the sugar on some recipes or add more zest it helps.
