I'm hoping in the new year to expand my budget content a bit into helpful home tips too! Budgeting goes beyond just what we spend on groceries, sometimes we need ideas to better our home to make our lives more flawless!
My pantry is a weee bit worse 😂 no judgement here woman it is real life I actually appreciate the imperfection. We all have phases in life where we may not yet be where we want to be or what we want but we have compassion for others this way❤ honestly everything we go theough should make us better humans for others and animals❤❤❤
Love your pantry organization! Going back through your videos looking for more cheap vegetarian ideas and I saw this and just want to say looks great and best of all it didn't cost a fortune. What is important is that it is your pantry and it is what works for you!
I love your content. Im not plant based or vegan. But I do cook meals that are plant based. Sometimes I dont want meat, sometimes I do. But ur ideas have inspired me to experiment. Continue to live your life with joy and do what makes you and your growing family happy and healthy!!!
Girl! You do you. You are beyond generous with all the great ideas you share with us. Anyone who criticizes you isn’t worth a second glance. Trust me, I’m old and have lived a lot of life. Hugs PS - you did a great job! And if you want to change it, then go for it… I rearrange all the time, either to make things more efficient or just so I see things differently. Let me repeat - you are amazing!
I hate how judgy the internet is. I 100% feel this. I don’t plan to ever eat meat again, but sometimes something vegetarian slips in and that’s ok. I personally don’t plan to use dairy products on a regular basis, but if buy bread that has milk in it, I’ll eat some. Or if there’s a treat I want, I’ll get it. Sometimes our budget dictates what we can buy and that doesn’t always include all Vegan items for me. Hubs is definitely not Vegan lol We all do our best and really, no one is perfect. One of the main reasons I stopped making videos nearly 8 years ago was bc of judgy people. So you do you boo 😉💜
I just can not imagine spending time on the internet yelling at people who make videos. It just doesn't compute! I hope you continue to ignore people who are clearly bored and have nothing better to do with their time.
Me either but some of my recent videos have had some crazies in the comments. Anytime I post anything about rice, tons of comments about how bad it is for you🤣
It didn't look that bad. I love your clutter free and clean counters. The focus is that you are organizing and changing it. I have been judged all my life for many things about me. It makes me sad that someone would say this. Awesome job to clean and organize your pantry while being pregnant 🎉
Snickers Emergency! (This is a real thing for me ;) I eat plant based 99% of the time, but not plant exclusive. It eases my mind. For example: yesterday my husband got a raise(yay!) and we celebrated with a dairy queen blizzard. It was great! Or on a special occasion I might eat a lobster tail. Anyway, I love your content and am super excited to see what you have coming up! Merry Christmas to you two (soon to be three!)
The snickers emergency is real! My husband needs them on hand!🤣 glad you understand and I hope you enjoyed your bizarrard!! As a kid that was my fav treat!
Snow day here in Pennsylvania. And this video just inspired me to organize. Gonna wait for the video to end first. Love all your content, you truly inspire ❤
I'm not plant based or a vegetarian but my kids, my husband, and myself love your meals and they help the grocery bill so much .... On more bougie shopping days I will add cheese and hamburger to some of the meals. Your content is helpful keep it coming and ignore the haters
I'm glad you're doing what's best for you and your family by going vegetarian ❤ but as a vegan, I really hope your future budget videos include vegan recipes or vegan-version suggestions because your channel is helping my family save money and there aren't many vegan-on-a-budget RU-vidrs out there.
Hi Miranda, I have been following you for a long time but this is the first time I have commented. I was plant based and my health really suffered and my doctor encouraged me to go back to eating meat and eggs. I di not want to but I eventually gave in as my health was deteriorating. I do not eat any fruit or vegetables now as for some reason my body does not tolerate them so I guess I am now carnivore. I now am healing and feel better than I have done in years so what I want to say is you do you and ignore what others think. It is none of their business. I love your videos and wish you all the best with your pregnancy. 🤎💚💛💜
You do what makes you and your family happy! ❤👍🏽☺️ I thought your pantry organization is good and the emergency pantry is an excellent idea in case weather or anything prevents you from getting to the grocery store. Enjoy your podcasts ALL of them! ❤
You inspire me daily no matter what you do, or what you eat or don’t eat. You’re kind, motivated, and trying to help add value to our daily lives. Your channel has helped me look at food in a healthier way. I’m a mostly-vegetarian so I can’t wait to see what you come up with. ❤
I’ve been following you for years and have always loved what you’ve shared. No judgement EVER!! (I thought your pre-clean out was not bad at all!!) HUGE congratulations on your pregnancy!!!! I recall it being quite a journey for you and your husband. I’m so do happy for you!!!
I thought your pantry wasn’t that bad and it’s really a lived in pantry for every day life 😊 Life is too short to be too harsh on one self. Just keep doing what you can each and every day 😊❤
Thank you for sharing! Love that so much! I never considered myself vegan, just plant based but I know the internet is a really judgmental place for anytime you make a change! I appreciate you!💛
I would definitely be interested in other content to do with the home. If/when you are physically able, of course. Your attitude and approach to things is approachable and doable. Even for me. I am so glad some people can work 400 hours a week, make all homemade meals and get their houses clean and also make 3 billion dollars a year all while not being tired. But, that isn't me. I need tips and shortcuts and budget ideas on occasion. Anything to de-stress the process of every day life is good for me.
I love your videos. My family and I are not plant based, but we enjoy plant based meals regularly. And my favorite meals we make most often came from your channel! 😊
Nesting is such a fun part of pregnancy and I love a pantry makeover. Something to think about on the over the door shelving, it might be good that it's a little shorter than the door because you can store bulkier items on the floor where you will have more depth and still be able to close the door. But either way, it I think you did a great job of re-organizing the space!
You are doing great! No one has the right to dictate to you how to run your life, be it diet, lifestyle, nothing. We are free agents! Love you, girl! And your before pantry looks better than my after pantry! Lol!
Your pantry redo looks great! I wouldn’t show you mine under any circumstances lol. But I’ll do me, and you do you. Your skin looks amazing, by the way. You’re positively glowing. Hope you feel better soon. ❤
For me this is bad 🤣 but I haven’t opened that door in about 2 months and if my husband ever had it open with me near by I’d beg him to close to it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t feel bad at all. At least all of your stuff is together. I have pantry stuff in my pantry, in our cabinet we have a coffee bar on and in an ottoman that opens for storage lol. I have been wanting to reorganize. Thank you for the motivation!
Ugh the food stuff was so hard during pregnancy so I feel you. You have to do what works for you. My whole pregnancy was like that and I couldn’t smell food cooking which is tough when you are the main cook in the house 😂
Yes!! Same here I can cook when I’m in the mood but that’s been pretty rare im glad I made a few videos ahead before it got bad! All smells and all foods are just not my friends right now!
@@flourishingmiranda totally worth it in the end but the hardest to live through. My cousin used to spray perfume and I would say can’t you do that in the car 😂 I hope it goes away soon for you!!
Also!!! Budget tip: you can have wood (even plywood, painted) shelves and faceplates cut to lay over your existing wire shelves to make it look like a solid piece of wood. There are videos online how to do it. Super quick, cheap and looks super upgraded!
Oh interesting I may have to look into that because my best friend got a quote for floating shelves for this pantry and omggg🫠 the quote! We were like we can do it ourselves 🤣 I don’t like the shelf layout - they need to be closer together, so more shelves for my taste (and the middle arm goodbye!)
You have good taste in snacks, those tiniest chocolate chip cookies are delish!! Whether you’re plant based or vegetarian I will always enjoy your videos ❤. I am interested in seeing what meals you cook being vegetarian now. I hate wire shelves too!!
Sending props and hugs to you for being so open and honest!! I’ve loosened up with my high starch low fat diet too My dream is to have a baby soon - and I want to show them I’m flexible and relaxed about eating. It should be enjoyable too, I think :) I’m still plant based, just not as strict as I once was. Your pantry looks amazing 🤩 You definitely motivated me to re do mine! Happy Christmas season/time 💓 Ps you look beautiful pregnant! 🤰 (and not pregnant too)
Sending you lots of love friend!❤️ I just want my babies to eat whatever makes them happy! Hopefully by not pushing my food ideas on them they grow to have healthy relationships with food!
When you opened the pantry door , I was expecting it would be a right mess 😂 it was not at all . I've seen way way worse infact ! Yours was tidy . Ignore the negative Nellie's , it's your life and your body , you eat how you like . New subscriber BTW. Take care and have a good rest of your pregnancy .👌💜
I’m vegetarian too! I was never really a big meat eater growing up. When I got pregnant with my first child I had horrible food aversions to meat. I couldn’t have it in the house, let alone cook it! I had 3 more kids and occasionally ate meat but recently again I can’t eat it without feeling sick and having to get rid of it. Nope not pregnant either. Not sure what my deal is but I just listen to my body. I still cook meat for the rest of my family and I’m not too grossed out by it but I don’t eat it. I even cooked a turkey for Thanksgiving that totally grosses me out but I’m happy to feed my family and glad they enjoy.🙂
@@flourishingmiranda Hoping you feel good more than not during your pregnancy! I was not a person that loved being pregnant but loved feeling the baby kicks so it’s all worth it.☺️ Merry Christmas! I enjoy watching you go through this season, I’m so happy for you guys!
I have always had mixed feelings of an over the door shelf, lately Ive been leaning to order one just to use wasted space. But i m afraid of things flying everywhere each time the door is opened and closed.
There is no reason to stick to a plant based diet if there is not an ethical component to it. I honestly don't know a single plant based person that has stuck with it for more than a couple years. Add the ethical component though and game changer. I am an ethical vegan and will continue to watch your vegan content because I really enjoy your videos. I will say that I was a vegetarian when I was pregnant and raised my son that way with a meat eating father. With every ethical and health and environmental everything that I have thrown at him, he has chosen to eat animals. It saddens me to no end and I wish I would have known more about the industry before making that decision. I truly believe that if I would have taught him to love animals from the beginning that he would. He is 21 now and living off pizza and ramen and whatever bar food he gets his hands on. The pantry looks great. Hang in there... it gets better.
I don’t think that’s entirely true ❤️ I know people who’ve been plant based for 20+ years without being vegan it’s all in however you want to live your life. but we all have our own believes! I think veganism is like a religion, like religion, you shouldn’t push your personal believes on anyone. Raising a child who thinks and makes decisions for themselves is very important imo.
Be careful to only put light weight items in shelves on the door. I did that once and it actually pulled the door off the hinges. Learned my lesson! Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Do you , be happy! Are you eating protein and iron enriched vegetarian foods? Baby needs that to grow healthy! I'm a meat eater but you do you and my prayers are with you and your little family!
My vegan family of 4 have become: 1 vegan and 3 vegetarians.... Veganism is not for everyone. I'm the last remaining vegan and I have countless health problems, directly related to being vegan. Don't feel bad for a second for doing what is best for your family. Eff everyone else, respectfully 😂❤️🙏🏻
I’m sorry to hear that for you! But it’s actually very common! ❤️❤️ my blood work was still awesome as of last week, but I know how important it is for little ones to eat what everyone’s eating and I don’t want to be the “picky” one because it might influence them ❤️
Oh I just assume you all think I have some cool Pinterest worthy pantry and you’ll be disappointed 🤣🤣🤣 I put a lot of pressure on myself but you all are my people!
It makes me so sad that you had to spend three minutes defending yourself in anticipation of internet comments :( It really shed some perspective on how much you all have to deal with as content creators. Just remember the loudest voices aren't always the majority. We're all just doing the best we can with what we have in life ❤
I'm sorry you had a rough start. Hoping it will get better soon! 🩷 I was plant based for 8 years and since a few weeks I've been eating some vegetarian meals at home. I feel like for similar reasons like you. I also feel like it will be hard for my 1yo to be completely plant based and I am slowly introducing small quantities of dairy products into his diet. I am still very apprehensive about eggs though 😅
