I just heard about Goodles but have never tried them! I’m not a huge fan of alternative pastas like lentil/black bean/chickpea/etc- the texture is always a bit off for me (and they’re more expensive, but I loveee the higher protein/nutrient value of them), but I’m always open to trying more- do you find the texture of Goodles pretty standard or is it more firm/bitey like normal chickpea pasta? Love all these ideas (especially the egg bites - would be so good for taking to work for me!)
I think out of all the alternative pastas I've tried the goodles is the MOST like regular pasta! I think because you cook it for longer but it is not all chickpea flour its a combo so its texture and taste feels more like you're eating regular pasta! I would recommend trying them if you can find them on sale!
@@flourishingmirandaI like the Bramini brand which is half durum wheat and half lupini so I think the goodles sound promising! Thank you for your reply, I’ll definitely look for them!!!
Could you tell me, do the egg bites taste "eggy" I know that's a weird question. I'd like to eat eggs because of the protein but can't stand that eggy taste. I was wondering if egg whites have that taste?
They aren’t! I know exactly what you mean, the egg whites help so much with the texture along with the cottage cheese I’m sure if you used whole eggs you’d def get that “eggy” texture
Mamahood looks great on you 😊 Now I’m craving pasta! Thanks for the inspiration! I appreciate the high protein style - and love meal prep in general.. I always at least prep oats because like you I love them cold from the fridge haha Happy august!
Excellent vid! Love the idea of basic meal prep and switch ups! Really great easy healthy recipes! We do not like eating out and prefer eating at home.

I love adding refried beans to a chicken burrito that I make for lunch all the time! Also love the thrive market beans, they taste the best and are so clean!
we had steamed mussels with onion, celery and garlic, and a size of home made bread stuffed with feta, roasted red peppers, garlic and oregano. It was delicious.
Hey Miranda! R you tracking your protein intake? Just curious… if so, what’s your goal per day? I’m trying to build muscle and loose fat and currently trying to get 130g of protein on a plant based diet. It’s been really challenging because I’m not hungry without trying too hard I can get to like 100-110g a day. Thx :)
I love jasmine rice too, but I have to be carful with blood sugar fluctuations, because I am overweight. jasmine is different although also long grain like basmati. if you have issues with brown rice, then basmati is an option, in case sugar and hunger ever becomes an issue for you. most lean people don't have to be careful, but out of what I observed, they don't eat certaing things often and they combine smart. so, there are ways to work around a glycemic not ideal item - it looks like
I have used the Quaker high fiber, 10 grams! to make overnight oats. I just skip any added sweeteners, but add almond milk and protein powder, chia, flax, and hemp. Top with apples or berries, and sometimes nuts or seeds. A really quick, hefty meal that will carry me from a late breakfast to dinner on those crazy busy days.
I think you’re pretty rad for making as many videos as you do! You’re a kickass Mom! As far as oats, hot all the way 😂 Even my overnight oats I’ll heat for a minute in the microwave. You’re like my hubby in they you can eat a lot of things cold that are normally serviced hot….not me lol But recently I’ve been having blueberries and raisins I’m my oatmeal and it’s delicious! I love blueberries! The rest went in the freezer to use in my homemade kombucha 😋
When I use instant oatmeal packets I like to add some chia seeds and hemp hearts. I also add powdered coconut milk as it makes it nice and creamy. The chia seeds really bulk it up. I sometimes find one pack not enough but two packs too much. Making it like this makes it satisfying to eat. Then I have fruit on the side.
Your daughter is your priority, as she should be. I enjoy your videos when you post them but as a mom who raised three girls, I understand the time constraints.
Thank you! 💕 I’ve said this many times in the last few months, but I truly appreciate the grace so many of you have shown me! The balance is very real between making healthy meals and also wanting to spend all the time in the snuggle stage of newborn bliss
She does! I wanted a baby with hair so badly 🥹🥹 I just imagined it from the beginning and as the end got near I’d say daily to my husband “do you think she has any hair?” And when I delivered I remember my doctor saying “omg she has so much hair!” Right before she came out and the joy I felt was unreal! I didn’t have hair until I was almost 2 🤣🤣🤣 so I guess my dream was a little girl with hair
@@flourishingmiranda my kiddos are half Mexican ( daddy is from Mexico) and they were both blessed with so much hair. I was a hairless baby for so long. Its wonderful getting what you hoped for with your tiny people
I appreciate all you do to make your videos, especially at this time of change. Babies take a lot of time. As a Mimi I love seeing those sweet baby feet. 🤗
You are so kind!!! These videos helps keep me accountable to keep making healthy meals because it can be tough to cook + care for a newborn because I’d rather snuggle than cook right now
@@flourishingmiranda you help me and so many others with your videos So now I'm going to be selfish: I want videos so take care of yourself and family so I can get more videos 🙏😘🥰😍❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋
