Panzer ii Destruction

Hi guys,
Today we get on with the destruction of Tamiyas 1/35 Panzer II. The tank has been hit by two Depleted Explosive Valineum Ordances (DEVO) and they have made some holes in it making it "kaput". Next video will be the building of the diorama base which will be the largest and most techincally challanging one i have attempted to date.
Thank you all for watching, i apprecitae you takimng the time to do so. I hope you are all keeping safe and well, we are back in full on lockdown for 5 days in Victoria so i might get some more time at the bench!

Ah...there's nothing better than reliving childhood destructive urges....always a good way to relieve the tension of work! A fine job, Glen....will be looking forward to seeing how this mangled little tank fits into the diorama.

Thanks Robbo, i think i was more tense doing it for fear i would mess it up Spent a happy day working on the dio base, nearly have the smoke machine working properly

That particular kit was great value for money; a fine model, well posed infantry figures and readily available.

Glen, looks GREAT! I think you have represented well what a lightly armored Panzer II might look like after receiving a double 90mm enema from a Halidonian M-26! I especially like the way the severed track run drapes down at the exit side. You have established yourself as quite the anti tank guy. Who needs a Javelin missile when you have a rat tail file and a Drexel tool to inflict lethal damage? Really cool. Well done.

Thanks Lazza, and i have to admit i did the damage to the tracks when they were on the wrong way around, so was very lucky they when i put them on the right way around the damage actually seemed to look better that way 😝😝😝

Looks great - I like the little details like the wire hanging out of the exit wound. Shep Paine used to describe doing details like that where you're just creating some visual interest to show what's going on rather than trying to make an actual replica of a Pz2 interior. Good stuff. Whatever was shooting at that little Pz2 must have a really big gun though...

Thanks cygnusx10, glad you liked it, i am a big Shep Paine fan, an i think dioramas are a bit like oli paintings, get too close and they dont loog great but from the right distance all the little parts come together to make a nice overall picture. The Halidonian Dugite tank is spotring a 90mm main gun, it was a beast for its time 😜😜😜

Nice one. I really enjoyed that. When you were making the holes and melting the vinyl track I swear I could smell it! Proper seventies flash-back! 😂 I melted a lot of plastic back in the day! I've got a Pz 1 command tank with missing tracks who's fate has just been sealed. I'm looking forward to seeing this one. Cheers. 👍🍻

Very nice damage- it makes me want to do something along similar lines. My current project is a beaten-up Transit van- not so much damaged but more simply uncared for. Having watched your video I might try adding a few dings & dents if I feel brave enough.

@@HalidonDioramas The trouble with my Transit is that I thought I'd got it finished yesterday. I think I'll save the dings & dents for a future project and get going on the dodgy builders diorama for the Transit to go on.
