The German Army units of the Legion Condor - the "Imkerverbände" (bee-keeper units) - in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) are rarely covered. These units were equipped with Panzerkampfwagen I and Panzerbefehlswagen, additionally they also brought with them anti-tank guns notably the 37mm gun. The Panzerwaffe drew various experiences from Spain, additionally many of the veterans served in training units and schools later on.
