Your style of content is actually great. Zombies content on YT has become so samey and this is such a great change of pace from the same old "Every zombies map ranked worst to best tier list updated". Like hell yeah, talk about the difference between the WAW Der Riese pack camo and the BO1 remastered version. Shit is so interesting to me for some reason lol. Keep it up
I really dig the Cold War Camos, They sort of make the weapons look like they've been carved out of a crystal, which is fitting considering the introduction of Aetherium crystals and the power they behold.
I do think the modern ones are overdesigned in two ways: 1. Too many animated colors. The OG Weaponized 115 was shiny with a subtle subsurface thing going on that made it look slightly animated, and the OG Afterlife flickered a bit. Now we have these dull surfaces with glowing lights on the primary and secondary color bits with textures moving at different speeds on em and it's gross 2. Too many colors. The only time I liked the camos having different colors was on Revelations, and it was because each of them was animated in a unique way and weren't just palette swaps, they fit the overall saturated colors of the map, and thematically having a lot of different variants made sense on a map that was a ton of maps mashed together. PaP camos should be visibly unique, stand out from the base game's camos, but only BARELY. Base game's flashiest camo is just a basic gold color? Make the PaP a shiny etched metal. Flashiest one is sparkling diamonds? Solid crystal PaP camo. Just *one* step above, and not feel like I just turned my anti-air missile launcher into a cosplay prop.
Yeah the new camos have a lot going on. The MW3 pap1 camo has the animated helix pattern, then the static molecular pattern on the smaller parts of the gun (don’t even get me started on the pap2 camo from that game 🤮). I feel like a shiny metallic part, and some kind of textured pattern would have been cool. I guess they try to make these camos over-the-top to compete with mastery camos like interstellar and orion. The older games had less insane camos, so the mild pap appearance was better suited for them. I definitely prefer the older camos from WAW and BO1, but don’t mind BO3 or CW.
Honestly I think the BO2 camo is alright if they just made it more visible and so it didn't glitch out and look so weird in the light. It has an interesting purple/blue and yellow design that reminds me of a Van Gogh painting, it matches the Die Rise sky quite well actually.
To your point on changing camos, i wish they were dimension specific. Like mob camo on mob and shadows. Or make them group specific. Group 935's camo will be different from Division 9's camo. Broken Arrow's camo will be different from the Ascension Group's camo.
WAW skin for me, I like the silver ornate meshing with the cosmic red it spews, it's pretty neat, the element 115 skin could be done a little better, but still is my 3rd fave right after bo1
Revelations is far from my favourite map but it does have the best pap camos. To this day I still regret not being able to get it in multiplayer when it was available.
I think the Victus PaP camo looks really nice when it isn't in the dark. Very pretty, in my opinion. Shame you can onlt really see it that way on Die Rise
@@theGODZILLA150 thats fair, i think it fits with the whole mutated freak plant vibe but i'd be fine with it not moving, im just a fan of green and i think it looks nice no matter the lighting, unlike alot of other pap camos
I really loved the WAW PAP skin. The fact that is so unique and exclusive to that game in particular kind of contributes to it, but also because its just the best looking one to me. Origins is a close second though. Black ops 1 PAP skin was alright but I do agree that in chronicles they kind of did it an injustice making its shiny darkish color more of a dull gray, made the skin seem a little ugly to me. One thing is for sure though, BO2 skin was so ugly looking. I never did like that sort of blue and yellow metal blend they had going.
I feel like the ever present hyper-animated pap camos of bo3 and onward are pretty distracting and somewhat garish to look at. In terms of visual language, its weird to have the most eye catching part of the screen be the gun model which is essentially irrelevant to gameplay and breaks your immersion within the environment. I think animated pap camos work best when the animation is subtle (motd, origins) and they are not present on every map in a game, making them more unique.
Great video as always! Honestly when it comes to camos in zombies, in BO3 onwards I NEVER use camos unless it's the pack a punch camos. So I'm always hoping the pack a punch camos are good. While I prefer the WaW-BO4 era of pack a punch camos, I still think the modern games have some decent camos. Especially Cold War and MWZ. Also the AW camos sucked for the most part. Just multiplayer camos with the worst upgrade system in all of zombies
@@AmyCherryLMAO I skimmed through the timeline and didn't see anything. Either way, Treyarch fanboy channel still. There's plenty of camos to talk about with the other titles, but again, Treyarch fanboys can only play Treyarch slop and ignore the other modes' existence.
@@imaginarymenageriemanager6303 yeah, its a shame to see the non treyarch modes get reduced to mere footprints when iw zombies had more camos than recent treyarch games
Calling Bo1’s PaP camp the best in Zombies is hella biased, SoE and Rev have way better PaP camos imo, hell, the non-PaP camos like Cosmic and Dragonfire look better than Bo1s PaP camo.
