The Papa Louie franchise is one of, if not the largest and most successful flash game franchises out there. While the "Papa's Gameria" restaurant management games are the most popular, the series originally began 13 years ago as a 2D platformer. Today, we're taking a look back at Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack and its history, and as always, how it holds up today. (spoiler alert: it's good).

as a Papa Louie fan myself, i take it as my job to say you forgot to say these locations from portals are entire Dimension... from what i get from reading these flipdeck... called Munchmore.

Having gotten on a Papa's kick this year, and never having known about this title in my youth, pretty interesting how deep this franchise goes. Tho one thing that gets to me on this game is how everyone rescued on Level 4 is a repeat of ones from 1 and 2.

I love the 2nd and 3rd ones. The first one is alright, but like cactus mccoy its controls are weird and you can only play as papa louie. I don't know if this Quinns Q&A was deleted or lost in time, but I remember one that mentioned how they *could* try to release an attack game on steam, with more levels because of less limitations.

@@therealretronaut I do want to say that you can change the controls in Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack! and the Cactus McCoy Duology. So you could try changing their controls to be like the Papa Louie Sequels.

Speaking of Flipline Studios you should talk about Remnants of Skystone, it's also made by them and it's pretty obscure

Also with the papa Louie cooking games, a fairly popular RU-vidr makes videos on them fairly often, mostly putting ridiculous amounts of food on stuff.

Fun fact: The Red Papa Coins were useful for a 30 point achievement on Kongregate! (Yknow, whenever Kongregate was focused on games) Also, it would be cool for you to check the rest of the Flipline Games, mainly the difference from Pizzeria to Mocharia!

I remember Playing Papa's Games (mainly Platformers) when i Was Kid. (mainly) that's why i'm Big Fan of Flipline.

Wow this review was great and i was shocked that a theme from the Papa Louie When pizzas attack! game was remixed in the Papa Freezeria game and i didn't know that was unused content and a 5th world. Have a nice day :)

I really enjoyed the Papa Louie series including the platform games! My personal favorite game is Papa's Scooperia and Papa Louie: When Sundaes Attack. Sense the Papa Louie games are popular, I'm pretty sure that more than a million people have played at least one of the games. What not a of people know is that it actually has a small fandom which there are about more than thousands of people who are part of it. About Freezing Pointe, I wonder if Matt and Tony will release the trailer from the canceled series. Unless they already got rid of the trailer. Fun Fact: the two customers from the Papa Louie series; Chuck and Taylor; might be inspired by Ross and Eddie from Freezing Pointe because the characters have simular personalities and they're roommates. This hasn't been confirmed by Flipline Studios though.

Yeah, I'm actually a pretty big fan of the games myself but I haven't really gotten into the fandom much. I definitely plan to review all the Gamerias and the other 2 platformer games, as well as some other stuff like Slider Scouts, Pals, and Jacksmith in the future though!

Can't wait to see more Flipline related content soon in the future! You present your review videos pretty well and clear! 😁 Flipline Studios deserves more attention. It is popular till this day but it's not as popular as Minecraft, Undertale, etc. The fandom is also pretty small and it's mostly active Twitter, Tumblr, Amino, and the offical Flipline Forums. If Flipline Studios plans on making more Gamerias in the future, they should add completely new features so everything doesn't get boring for the player. I know that Matt and Tony are not going to make more Flash games sense it's going to be removed on December 2020 but they're making news games in app stores. (Sorry if this is pretty long. I'm somewhat of a Flipline Studio nerd and I know almost everything about the Papa Louie lore. And I'm also part of the fandom 😅)

I'm really wondering what's next for Flipline now that Pastaria To Go is almost out. Personally I'd really like a new platformer game or even a remake of WPA, but not on mobile. It's WPA's 15th anniversary next year (wow) and I think Flipline could totally release it on Steam or something. Wix Games did with Duck Life. I know the Gamerias are more popular but i can dream :)

7:25 Lol i actually had that happening to me as well. Oh Papa Louie. I did play this game back in the day. I don't know if i actually beat it though, but i do remember that i did get to fight the last boss.

Actually Restaurant games have some lore too. Mainly Cluckeria (BTW that Warp Key at the end... PL4 CONFIRMED?! I hope so cuz i LOVE platformers from PL series. but I like every single so...)

You just spoiled Cluckeria's ending for me lol... not that I was going to finish it anyway, but wow, if that is actually hinting at a new platformer, that would be awesome! I just hope it's NOT on mobile lol, the controls would be pretty rough.

@@seanyproductions Platformers since PL2 are mailny "move, Jump, Attack, use skill" and using skill are Either "just touch (something) and (skill) will happen", "double Press this button" or "easy Combination of two buttons"... but yes, Platformers on Mobile isn't BEST idea. maybe Before PL4 we would have "(when) First Trilogy Remake (Attacks!)". i would like this to happen.

@@JezElectro13 technically it isn't just 16 games in Papa Louie cooking series if you count the ports, since they add new things to the game. Pretty sure this would make 39 cooking games in total. Also, let's also not forget Papa Louie Pals and Slider Scouts. Those apps would be interesting to talk about

Actually for me, the only cooking game I first saw was in 6th grade, Papa's Scooperia. Then a friend of mine told me about him playing platformer versions of those games, so that was when I decided to play Papa Louie 2 and 3. So I didn't know Papa Louie When Pizzas Attack existed until I randomly came across a playthrough of it. So yeah.

@@180fuckalotseveneleven3 yeah I'll review them both in one video, but I want to talk about some Gamerias first. But I'm really excited to get to PL2 & 3 because I really like those games (and i really hope the trilogy gets remastered this year for the 15th anniversary, pls flipline)
