Scored one for my .44 Navy and dear God, it is so incredibly worth it. Learning curve is almost nothing - after two or three cartridges I was rolling them with ease. I use the plastic cartridge boxes you can find at the sporting good stores - 9mm fit the .44 perfectly - put them in paper side down as it is easier and less likely to damage them when pulling them out by the ball. The speed, ease and convenience of loading these at the range can't be undersold - no fiddling with measuring powder, especially if there's a breeze, no messy bore butter and no spread of tools and powder horns - just a box of pre-rolled cartridges and your capper. Loading is a cinch - I can load an entire cylinder with these in the time it takes to load two chambers by hand, which means more time shooting and less time loading as well. Since I can precisely measure out my powder charge, that also means more consistency. They're also fast to produce once you get into a grove, with it taking me less than an hour to fill a fifty round box if I'm partially distracted due to watching television while loading them, otherwise, I seem to average around 30 seconds per cartridge.

I would love to see you make a kit for making skin Cartridges. I have been wanting to try making some.

I can see why back during Civil was kids and younger women made these. The Walker wasn't too bad, the 1860 Army a little more difficult, but the 31 caliber was not so easy for my 64 yr old fingers. Getting better, this is either a great winter or rainy day project. The kit definitely makes it easier than other kits i have seen and tried. Thanks for the video definitely helped. Which conical bullets are available that can be loaded into cartridges?

When you use pyrodex or 777, do you use the same measure, or change the charge weight?

Hey Dustin, I'm curious have you ever used Hodgdon Triple 7 Blackpowder Pellets? I'm wondering if these could be used as a black powder blank?

I loaded my 1858 Remington 44 and forgot to make sure the lead shavings came out of the cylinder before i applied the bore butter...do you think this will cause something bad to happen?

Would this work well with foam disc's instead of the lead so as to act like a blank?
