What do you think was the shiny thing on the ground in that Dead End?

What if she chooses not to go back? Would the game just continue without him? I mean he wasn’t needed for much other than holding doors and those doors didn’t have inside anything useful anyways

Kind of late and you didint ask me but what if it was his own doorknob? I mean after all id assume he wouldnt just leave us and go back from the true ending if he hadnt had his own way out​@@JustNiaster

I did try this, and the result is the game won't allow you go any further. To be specific, you won't be able to enter the electrical room. So, you got no choice but to come back to Sai. On the other hand, if you could go back to Sai in less than 10 sec after you leaved him, you will party up again and the Dead End won't occur. actually you can! you'll need to 1. collect 10 coins before exiting the maze (3/10 coins in maze, map provided on steam guide) 2. buy ALL the fish from the fish girl by the campfire by talking to her first to get the option to do so 3. dump all the fish into the mirror of the big tree 4. go inside the fairy ring and go through the same exploration ... and aoi wont need to sacrifice themselves to get both lacie and aoi back out alive! BONUS: once all that is over, this is the perfect time to save so you can run back into the fairy ring to get an achievement. FYI: you MUST NOT leave the maze towards the lake segment after collecting the 3 coins, you cannot go back. make sure to also grab the rune behind the big tree before going to save aoi if you need it
