Holy Moly the flowers, vase, and background are so beautiful. I love it. It does make me think of Spring. In fact I wholeheartedly agree that Arizona has been c-c-cold. It should feel toasty next to Michigan's awful winters, but quickly one gets used to the nice weather and when it gets like it has, bbbrrrr. Today is much better with sun and calm and no wind. I am happy Spring will soon be here so I can put my sweatshirts, wool socks, and fleece-lined slippers away. (though I do love the latter-haha). You made me chuckle all through your paper painting ( my favorite videos of all) with your commentary--I so enjoy you, Shel C. Jane

The beauty part of your process is the serendipitous way the collage paper designs add depth and texture and movement to your artwork. I ve been doing more cutting into my pieces so some of the background shows through.......fun,fun....FUN............mraz

I love this painting. Just realized I've been going to a workshop in Taos in July to get away from the humidity in my home state and feeling completely lost at painting over photographs but watching you do it and understanding the process. For 2 years I've just focused on my background and collage on a photo and given up. My NY aim enlarge a few magazine girls and try to paint them up. Thanks for all your great videos. I love how you do "crusty bits." It has it's own unique look to it that I really like a lot. Plus, it is much less time consuming, than making so many prints and l,eaving the bits behind. I am going to do this. I alao have wanted that stencil, but first, I thought I would give it a try making my own, using my glue gun..., only if I knew where it was! Not to worry, it will be HOT soon, your way.

Hi Shel, I love this canvas, I think that your paper painted collages are fabulous!! Here in the UK where I am in the south east it hasn't got above freezing for the most part, although we have had some sun, the wind has made it colder!! I can't wait for spring, the crocuses are starting to come out, as well as the snowdrops, so with a bit of luck it shouldn't be long!!

Love the way this turned out. I really enjoy watching you use the Gelli Plate. Still trying to get the hang of it. I live in Texas and it is cold and rainy here. I actually enjoy the cold. Our Summers last about eight months. I really don't like the heat so I look forward to this kind of weather.

Very nice! The shading and highlights really make it pop. Have you tried creating your own stencil using a hot glue gun? Just use the glue to "draw" your stencil on a piece of baking paper. Peel it off and go for it.

Beautiful, I really enjoy watching your videos. Because of you I am going to try this type of art, when I watch you I feel so clam. So when I do try this type of art I hope I will feel just as calm and not be so hard on myself because sometimes I am to much of a perfectionist. Thank you for answering my questions last video, however I though of a few more. I know you had recommended certain paints, but the only ones I do have are the thick heavy body acrylic paints from prima and Dina wakely line. Would those paints work with gelli printing. If they are to thick do I use this glaze medium I have, it seems to thin the paint out. However, I know it does extend the dry time. Not sure if that is the right thing to do. In gelli printing is it good to have different types of paint with different consistency. I definitely will be checking out the i card you had mention in this video. Thank you so much for your time and patience with me. You are so kind to share your knowledge and time. Hope all is well, I am sure this will warm you up, let’s see what the weather is going to be today were I live -4 (below the freezing mark) which it has been a really warm winter because usually it is -20’s or -30’s and with the winds feeling like -40’s. I don’t think would survive up here in Northern Ontario Canada. However, I don’t think I would be able to survive where you live either. I would be probably be melting.
