For your question on core cards: core cards are either items or (rarely) McGuffins, and they follow the same rules as their respective type. Since Venom Vial is an item, it follows the same rules as normal items, including the once per turn rule. Also you don't have to spend any boons to refresh a row or column in the shop--you get to do it once for free after any battle. Hope that helps!

This was really fun to watch, and sold me on adding this to my wishlist. I was skeptical about the word play for no good reason when I first read reviews, but it looks like there’s some fun depth and those bosses seem like they could escalate so quickly!
I was quite surprised how much I liked it, I thought I would but I really loved it. The bosses do certainly take a quick turn, in books 2 and three you really need to watch what they're doing as it can just wipe you out in a turn or two. So much fun 🥰🤩
53:54 well there's paperback, hardback, wordious and boggle. Making words is almost orthogonal to moving pieces on a table so it doesn't surprise me that the combination of both genres doesn't feel fully explored yet. However these games have a lot of replayability. 1:05:00 sleeves cost about $5 per 50 cards. price point is ridiculous but it's take it or leave it, really. And you can sell it with little loss.

@@bluedogboardgames same as you, just damsel to this point. It was the one theme that really caught my eye. I can’t say the other themes really draw me, but possibly plot hook. I’m hoping they release some others.
