My name is Rhiannon - I fell in love with playing board games many years ago and discovered solo gaming in 2020! 🎲
I decided to start this channel to share my love of the hobby with as many people as possible. I do solo playthroughs of all sorts of solo games and share my thoughts and strategies with you as I play - followed by a quick wrap up of my final thoughts of the game!
I hope you enjoy watching my playthroughs, and most of all, get inspired to give solo gaming a go yourself!

Hi Rhiannon - I'm so glad I've found your channel. I was recommended this game on Kickstarter and based off your two reviews (base game and expansion) and your playthrough (though only 40mins in) I've bitten the bullet and pledged. Thank you so much for your thorough reviews and the effort you have put in. I'm very new to the world of solo board games so will be looking at your other videos. Also this playthrough is so soothing to watch after a long day 💜
So thrilled they sent you the expansion, your original in-depth review tipped me into purchasing the original (retail), I'll back the deluxe expansion since it's going to be the only one.
Meadow is one of my favorites! I do find that it becomes much more challenging when playing with someone as opposed to the randomization of the solo. I’ve been holding off on keystone North America until the new version comes out, it’s been difficult because it just looks so good!

Glad it's not just me! It's quite funny how long it's taken me to make that realisation about fixed rounds! I'm quite interested in playing other Garphill games just to see if it was an anomaly for me... especially if the automas may be less mean!!
It's a lot lighter than I expected but I've definitely been enjoying it! I've found a slightly more competitive solo version on BGG too so I'm going to give that a try as well. It's so beautiful I really love the artwork!
I think that you sold me on this. I'm a longtime fun of the ZT video games, and I just found out about the board game. The fact that it has a solo mode is a big selling point for me, though £114 quid from Switzerland is dear. Greetings from Staffordshire.
Hello I'm so glad you've found it! I really have a great time with it! It's absolutely a big investment though and I know the game is not going to be for everyone (the solo is a 'beat your own score' for example) so I thought it was quite important for people to see how the solo mode worked to see if it fits their taste. Lucky for me I love it - I hope you do too if you make the leap!
Hey Rhiannon - once again a really great long-form review, thank you! I've kind of run out of space for new games, so I've slowed way down on new purchases. Not many new Kickstarters for me for the next little while 😞.
Hi Sean and thank you! I'm at that point as well - I have now implemented a 'one in, one out' system...but so far I've got the 'one in' part sorted but have not yet done the 'one out' bit! It's so hard when there's so many good games!
It's such a gorgeous production (and of course will be even better at release!). The game is one of my absolute favourites but is definitely a crunchy one 😁
@bluedogboardgames it's great they sent you this for review. The channel is growing. You look so happy doing what you're doing. And as I have said numerous times. Continued sucess to you.
@@bluedogboardgameson a different topic, dis you ever play Le Havre? I didn't see it in your Uwe playthroughs. I just picked up a used copy, never played for 25 dollars(US). My Uwe collection is growing!
No Le Havre was one that was on my radar but I decided not to go for it in the end as I have read that it's a bit hit and miss solo. If I was going to add one more game to the Uwe collection it would have been Le Havre! You'll have to let me know what you think of it, I could add it onto my ranking list at a later date if it's super good 😁
At 21:28 you forgot to upgrade one of your tiles :( Also, after receiving income, you can immediately use those coins to surround bonuses since bonuses are received after income. For example, at 1:11:00 you can get that bonus with coins received after the income phase.
Hey Rhiannon, thanks for another great play-through! I played this one solo a couple of years back and unfortunately it wasn’t for me. It seemed a bit forced, bland and not a lot of fun. Maybe a 4/10.
Hey Sean! Thank you so much for watching! Yea I agree, bland is definitely a good word for it. I find it's over before you know it and feels flat as I find nothing much is achieved!
i do have a lot of uwe games, but i do not have this one. that's for the playthrough and thoughts. as always. i love the channel and continued support to you.
Thank you so much Todd 😁 best wishes to you! I'm glad I've played it but not sure it's entirely for me. There's a new Uwe game coming soon called Black Forest I believe which is a reiteration of Glass Road which looks to improve on things a lot!
I enjoy this game quite a bit despite the fact that I have never gotten close to the 30-point level (my closest is 27.5 points and I did that exactly once!) Thanks for the playthrough, Rhiannon.
Thank you so much for watching and the continued support!! 😁 Yea it's definitely a challenging one, I think my best was 26 and that was with a lucky few draws of very linked buildings...tricky!! Glad you enjoy the game 😊
I’ve only played once and I lost 74-72, but I think that must have been on easy. Either way I loved the game and now I want to get it to the table again. Thanks for the playthrough!
This is such a good game! I very much enjoy it although I have never played it solo. I am going to have to give it a try at some point. Thanks for the playthrough, Rhiannon!
Love this game. You made the same mistake as I did the first time I played the solo mode - you should be using the 1-2 player side of the actions board, which makes it more difficult. You are correct to also add coins to the island boards after they flip (but any coins added before the flip are removed - they don't carry over).
Great playthrough, thanks. 17:00 you can still take a skill if you like it better than one you already have, the old one is removed and becomes experience.
This was a great companion for my first playthrough of the game. My oh my did our scores differ in the end! Let’s just say I’m a rookie who is willing to learn the science of the Three Sister planting methods and I think Edith should stick to her own garden! Keep up the great work and thanks again for the easy walk through
Thank you so much for watching! I am the opposite, never really had heard of Baldur's Gate prior to this game!! Absolutely excellent game though and I feel that I could replay this many many times over
They are STILL making patches like that?! Been waiting to play until the big patches settled down and most things were fixed. Wow... Larian Studios are even better right now then company's were in the 90's. Proud to be Belgian!!
Thanks for your playthrough! Like you, I wasn't sure I was going to like Bitoku, but I bought it and tried it, and now it's one of my favorites! However, I've only played 2p, not brave enough to try the Tengu solo mode. Maybe I will give it another look!
Definitely have a look at some player help bits on BGG for the solo mode, it really helps to keep it a bit smoother and quicker! It's a difficult one but I find it very rewarding!! I hope you love it!
Loved your playthrough and I, too, am enamored with this game. I think if you can get a few sheep early on, and devote a LITTLE effort to prolonging their lives, they can be a good source of milk, meat, and VPs (if they last until the end). I think a lot of that depends on your initial card draw, but I also need more plays. Thanks again!
Thank you for watching! That sounds like it could be a good strategy, I think I always tend to forget about sheep for the most part, they're a bit of an afterthought. Great game!
I've been working with MythWind. I am really enjoying. I didn't think it would be my jam, but I found a reasonably priced copy. I feel like it is what I thought Lands of Galzyr was going to be (which I really hated because it was semi-app based and actually got rid of.) I like the different characters you can play. Each character is completely different in terms of what they do. It's kind of wild actually.
Thanks for the video, Rhiannon! Lots of games getting played which is always great to see! I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed Maggie's variation on Stardew Valley.
Thank you for watching! Yes it was absolute chaos but so much fun! It's great finding a new way to play an already great game, I need to get in the habit of doing it more. 😁
