@@smusky4643 actually the little guy was the papillon. One of my papillons looked just like it when it was a baby and he still loves to grab other dogs' tails'. Not too sure what the black and white dog was tho.
I have a papillon mix I adopted from an unhealthy life. He was so scared and bitey, it took about 6 months for him to decompress and 6 years later he is my traveling buddy, sleeping buddy and kissy face 🤍 he had 3 owners in his first 2 years and none of them loved him. But I love him enough for the world 😍
I am having trouble potty training my newly adopted 1 year old Papillon when it’s raining. She has a yard she poops in until it rains. We put blue diaper pads in the house & garage. She peed on my pillow and pooped on my comforter. I had to go outside because I was ready to explode ! Any suggestions ? RIP Oreo ❤
@@kathleencooney1518we experienced same thing after adopted ours. But encourage, patience and love are all that takes to get him potty trained. His now with us for more than 3 month now. We put him in our large bathroom with lots of his toys and cozy blanket when we are not home until he is being fully potty trained. He hasn't had any accident for 3 weeks so far. 😊
(Long post just for a warning) I used to have a papillon, his name was Casper. He passed away about 6 months ago. I live on a farm, we got bears, bobcats, 3 foot long+ snakes, etc. Casper was the toughest mofo I had ever seen. Singlehandedly killed a 3 foot blacksnake that was in our chicken coop. It bit him 3 times, he DESTROYED it with sheer anger. Chased off a blackbear the first week we moved here. He was an outside dog for the most part. We let him in when it was extreme. He got into a battle with the dog pack next door. (2 Labs, German Shepard and great Pyrenees.) He outran them and would taunt them horribly till we finally got the neighbor to deal with his dogs. Casper was, pound for pound, the most badass dog I had ever owned. We built him a headstone that said "Casper, the friendliness (and big nutted) dog"
@teaandroses, Well Bravo for your Casper!! I'm on my paps numbers 3 and 4 now and I can tell you all but one of them has been a majorly badass little dog!!!! My best female could scare away any large dog she ever met that she got bad vibes from with a nearly imperceptible curl of her lip, she raced through the forest like a fiend after squirrels till she was 15 years old, I'm sure has chased off raccoons or foxes as well, and when I was laying immobile on the floor after falling 5 feet out of the sky onto a solid sheet of ice, she raced up the stairs and pounced all over the bed to "Go get Daddy" just like Lassie. About all this childish ignorant talk about dog poo, you could be pleasantly surprised to realize you cannot even clean up much of your dog's poo in your yard simply because you can't even see it! If you've got a tiny yard, I just wouldn't even bother with a pap as they really need to run. In addition, this video has a ridiculous mistake in it! No responsible papillon breeder would ever sell to a family full of little kids! They can be inadvertently dropped, stepped on, tripped over, and are just generally too small for most young children to responsibly be around without danger of hurting them.
I had a Papillon Pomeranian mix that was a genius of a dog. A expert escape artist and would dig a can out the trash and take it house to house to get food from the neighbors. I named him Phikus .
@@jamaalsjourney He got so fat that his belly was dragging the ground . Also we were trying to keep him in his yard but he was very good at getting out. We did eventually did stop him and he got hit by a car at one point and developed Epilepsy. But he still lived to 21 yrs.
@Cozy because it's not? Both dogs are not papillon. Papillion puppies are fluffy and the one in the video looked more like a chihuahua or something like that due to short fur (especially on the cheeks/neck)
Bro.. when I saw the dog behind the poop toy I thought that's what he pooped and I was like,"OMG IT HALF HID SIZE!" And then when the dog picked up the toy I screamed because I thought he ate it....
When people ask me what kind of dog I have, and they've never heard of a papillion, I always just say exactly that "essentially she's a fluffy chihuahua"
Well they did use a long haired Chihuahua in some of there pictures. Little disappointing a breed channel couldn't figure that out. Chihuahua have a shorter muzzle and a rounder head.
I have one her name is Lucy and everything he says is very true I really love the breed I'm more of a big dog lover but she walk and act like a big dog and the best this is she's not a yapper lol
Everything he says is true. I had mine for 17 years and she was the smartest dog we had. She would hide hide behind the open bathroom door when we put anti flea on our other dogs and you couldn’t see her unless you closed that lol She also learned the sit after one day of training and kept that command up until when she was 15. Miss her.
Please more horses! Example: Welsh cob, Welsh pony, Island pony, Paso Fino, American paint, Lusitano, Connemara, Gotland pony, English Thourghbread (dunno how to spell that)
Thoroughbred I assume is how its spelt idk maybe my keyboard has the wrong suggested words. Horses are awesome wish I could ride one again been 20 years.
While I would suggest adopting, the prices range. One of my paps was a bit more expensive but still on the cheaper side of it all and he looks somewhat like the traditional look but just doesn't have as long of hair or as big of ears. While our other one was cheaper and we're not even all that sure if he's full papillon, might be a chillion or just a very poorly bred papillon. Again I'd suggest adopting unless it's a very ethical breeder but my parents bought the dogs so I didn't get much say.
I had a Papillon growing up and I would definitely choose a papillon (full breed or mixed) to be the family pet once I have kids of my own. They’re so friendly and gentle! 🥰 I would say it’s best to have them in pairs tho, originally she was our only dog and when we got other pets like rabbits and rats she’d cry in excitement and try to befriend them and (when supervised by us) gently groom them as if they were dogs and was disappointed they didn’t want to say hello. She’d walk up to their cages with a dog toy to show them, eventually leaving it outside their cages to try and entice them to play with her, just standing there waiting in anticipation to see if they’d respond this time 🥺 I still remember how HAPPY she was when we brought home a new puppy for her, they played for HOURS before cuddling up together for a nap, they remained close their entire lives. Papillons are extremely smart and social so they really do need the constant companionship and mental stimulation that only another dog can provide, especially if you’re not home 24/7.
One of my two dogs is a Papillon and she’s a good girl. She’s got low stress levels, is very shy but is super smart and so nice and happy when she’s alone with me
I have this breed.. we got her for free on Facebook when they said she was a tea cup Chihuahua. She’s my baby and I love her so death.. this is a great breed to have with small children. Of course you have to also teach your children to be gentle because they are small
I was really surprised how small a Papillon is when I saw one for the first time. They remind me of dandelion seeds and a strong enough gust could carry off with them.
