Very nice pattern, as a beginner tyer you made this pattern very accessible. Quill gordons are hatching here, I'm going to tie a few and try them out.

Nice fly and tutorial my friend👌 on losing that fish at the end of the video do you think that maybe trying to get the line back on the reel you may have lost valuable seconds of control? I know you don't want a whole bunch of line laying in the boat which can cause big problems also, or do you think it was indeed the knot itself? Shame as that fish took well and looked a good size, thanks again.

Thank you! This was all knot issues. It broke right at the surgeon. On reeling in the waste: it’s an absolute must when dealing with big wild fish. Getting them on the reel as fast as possible, is the most important part of landing one. Also yeah I don’t want to trip over the line and fall out of the boat haha. That’d definitely be worse than losing a fish. 👍
