Can totally understand what you're saying. 👍🏼. That said, Mr. Coop, you really crack me up 😂. Will be ordering one of your jigs very soon. ✌🏽💗🙏

Hi, Jim. I just watched this video and I agree with you. But the real reason I use only "Made in the USA" paracord is because I can! If I could get all of my products and tools "Made in the USA" I would do that, too. I believe in trying to keep America's people working. That is my main goal... well, that and to make items I can feel good about. But hey - I'm an American too - just trying to keep myself working a little while fighting this disease. Thanks for your excellent videos, not to mention your jigs which I am proud to own. They're American made for sure!

The point of the video doesn't have anything about American pride or supporting America. It has to do with folks making claims that aren't true and denying customers options that America companies don't have.

Glad to see you back on the RU-vid bud! I say that my products are American/Veteran Crafted. made with cord made in the USA. (I also point out that I do my best to find materials that are US made as well but I try to keep my prices low).

Interesting comment. I am from Europe and providing my cord from European manufacturer and also big EU distributor of US cord. Both are very good. Chinese are selling from complete garbage to good quality stuff and i am providing myself high quality accessories from them but i was buying samples from aliexpress tens of times just to test it and even a cord from ebay, Honk kong or China and now all this cord is in a bag as i do not want to use it. I will not risk to buy cord from China for now and i will suggest not to risk(except if you can see it touch it and then decide to order more) it as it is not the most expensive thing and it is for few euros/dollars that you will sell as survival bracelet with huge quality difference (dangerous!).This is also important. I agree also that people are playing dangerously with the words saying that it is 100 % from USA or else and also that it is survival bracelet or military grade without knowing the difference. In EU there is also strict policy about products and if you improvise yourself and institutions control you, it is over. Labeling of the product, packaging, having at least the main materials used, metal levels of cadmium, lead, nickel etc, etc. Selling is a business and you are responsible to offer a nice, clean product and present it to the customer. Breading as leisure activity is one, selling is completely different story and another level. Respect the crafting and the creators, the materials and the Buyers. Cheers!

I agree. I brand my crafts as American Made by me. Don't claim anything about the source of materials as I use a combination of US and Chinese materials. Spent a lot of time sourcing the best quality and prices. Have lucked out finding a few dealers with the quality I can live with. And trashed a bunch of sample orders that didn't meet my standards. Case in point, I just bought 2 lots of cord from 2 different sellers here in the US. One lot no problems at all, the other lot every hank I sampled so far does nothing but kink. Both lots were claimed to be USA made cord. The bad lot is worse then anything I've ever gotten from China. Both lots had enough different colors and weights (ie.650,550,355,etc) so it is not just a problem with one roll or batch. Just goes to show it can happen in any country.

"Coop"...Thank you for you input on paracord products. You are 100% correct in the quality of paracord products made in USA vs. China. Depending on where your pride is; either USA or China, the product from China is cheaply made vs products made in USA by Americans. Personally, I prefer American made products, because I know the product is made with pride. Anyway, "Coop", keep up the great work. "Keep On Being Knotty"

pride in the making of paracord in a factory has nothing to do with quality. American has crappie cord made here just as overseas. A machine has no feelings what so ever. you hit a button and it runs till you tell it to stop. like I said I'm not trying to convince or change anyone's mind. but there are folks out there that don't have the options we do and they don't deserve to be ridiculed over the cord they buy.

Coop...sorry for not wording my response properly...I was replying to the finished product not the cord...I agree, some people don't have the same choices as most of us...hope that clarifies a little bit more...

I just wish we could get the "good American made cord" here in Canada and some of the accessories ( like your jigs) at a competitive price but the shipping is killer.thats why I haven't gotten your great American made jigs yet
@MrCoop
@MrCoop 8 лет назад
the shipping on our jigs to Canada isn't much more than they are here in the states. put your postal code in the USPS shipping countulater and it will give you the shipping fees.
