In this video I demonstrate how to make a simple turk's head wrap for an axe handle. It can be fit on any axe handle, since it can be made longer quite easily.
Enjoy the tutorial!

Terrific demonstration with easy detailed steps. Now all I have to do is choose the colors that I prefer. Yours is nice, I will probably go with it too.

Great video bro . one tip if you want your wrap to be more permanent you can tighten your wrap by dipping it in boiling water for a few seconds . it tightens your wrap and insures it will never come loose . I've used that trick on knife wraps and the cord has yet to come loose .

Thank you very much for this good tutorial. The only part that i‘m missing is how to finish the knot. Where should i cut the cords and do you melt them with a lither or only tuck them unter the knot?

Greatings from Kyiv, UKR! Thanks a lot for videos! Could you please make some handle wraps for katana swords in paracord and leather lines in Japanese traditions and the most practical ones which are applicable for katanas. This can be separate videos i.e. "Katana"..... The have been making lots of wrappings.

The video tutorial is great other than one particular vital step you leave out. That step specifically being where the second pass to create the overlay of 2 strands all the way through, instructions and illustration of needing and using a long cord to create the strand overlay should be included in the video. I understand, after watching the video multiple times, one could connect the dots to do so, but if following instructions at first glance only, then it certainly causes some confusion and in my case, misstep. Which unfortunately, has resulted on me cutting myself short or rather the cord on that particular pass. So, please, be 100% thorough. If you're going to take the time to make a long tutorial, one might as well cover all steps.

That is a Jumbo Long Perma-Lok lacing needle available from Tandy Leather or Amazon.

I should add that ONLY the Jumbo Long size has the flattened tip. The other sizes are rounded.

What determines the initial over under sequence for these knots, I can not find any useful info on this so I'm stuck doing knots I can follow, such as yours.
@Paracordguild
@Paracordguild 7 лет назад
Hey there! Well basically, it depends on what knot you are going for. For knots with an odd number of bights, such as this one, you have to start your over-under sequence a bit sooner than with the even number of bights. So when you tie a 3 bight TH you start the sequence sooner, since you need to lay the tracks to split earlier to reduce the number of bights. In a 4 bight TH you start the sequence a bit later so that you end up with 4 bights. If that makes sense :). Mark

Jason Green .....damn Jason I thought I was the dumbest person watching this video. What you should have gleaned from what he was talking about was to “either” (magic word) cover the sharp edge of your hatchet “OR” dull it on, let’s say, on concrete, to help folks like yourself to NOT cut off their nose picking digits. Please don’t watch his videos about whipping Skippy (choking your chicken) so you won’t accidentally wack off your prized no. 1 digit. ......also Jason, don’t attempt this procedure “rope wrapping” on your prized digit as this will render you unable to produce children. 😰........oh yeah, you can resharpen hatchet after wrapping handle.
@jasongreen5159
@jasongreen5159 5 лет назад
@@robertlangley258 it's. OK Robert you can dull your axe on a brick. See sometimes people catch jokes, you on the other hand sit around looking to be clever. Now go use your brick.
