I had a SVS 200 Pro for my office which I have away to my friend. After ordering dual RSL Speedwoofers 10s' then cancelling them, I was considering dual Emotiva RS11's but ultimately decided on dual X12s after looking hard to find credible reviews, which are rare on RU-vid and few on the internet. Thanks for the kind words Sheraz. My first speakers were Paradigm SE 3 mark 2. Great company. Never owned an Anthem product but I’ve heard them and they sound great.
Thank you for taking the time to make this review. This is the exact model I am contemplating. Since the pandemic hit I've been upgrading my 20 year old home theater piece by piece. All that remains of my old setup is my Energy Connoisseur front sound stage and Energy EXL-S10 subwoofer. I'm just not sure if spending 5 grand on 4 paradigm speakers would be worth it. I am also looking at the Paradigm Premier 700F towers and 500c center. I just got some Paradigm Premier 100B's to replace my broken surrounds and they are surprisingly good. When I first got them I sat them on top of my front towers and played some music. They had much better clarity and imaging than the old Energy towers. You could also move around the room and still hear good sound off axis. Having ARC in the sub is a huge benefit for me possibly down the road. My new Anthem MRX 740 has two parallel sub outputs, so the receiver would calibrate them as one if I had two of them. I also HATE my current sub for having to hunch over behind it with a flashlight to adjust the volume when the source is too hot. The volume knob seems to get really sensitive at the half way mark. You have to split atoms to get the right setting beyond half volume and that requires to walk back and forth to your seat to make sure you got it right!
Hi Jerry. Also consider the new SVS 1000 pro series. Just came out. It’s cheaper, has a 12” driver compared to the Paradigm 10” and has a bit more power. Looks really good.
@@sidsreviews1110 Thanks. I'm also considering the SVS SB-2000 Pro and either the REL T/7i or T/9i. I've read that the REL's are "better" for music listening. The room where this stuff lives is a great room that flows into the kitchen. It's a big space (20 feet wide and close to 40 feet deep) with tile floor and lots of windows and high ceiling (12-13 feet). Not an ideal room for "good" sound. I presently have a Def Tech Pro 1000 sub and I'm looking at an upgrade (paired with Paradigm Reference Millenia 200 floor standing speakers). I live a couple hours north of Phoenix, AZ and would have to travel down there to listen to different models and with the current state of affairs with Covid that isn't an easy task (showrooms open by appointment only) plus those places will be set up better sound-wise than my setting. So, sort of have to relay on opinions.
