back in 97-98 I was a postgraduate student at Kings College London. It was the time of One Second album. I went to that concert at Shepherd's Bush Empire, I was amazed! Love PL! Greetings from Athens! never missed a concert!
Unfortunately. The original version is better for me. I met this band on their first album, when they had their own captivating sound. I followed them until the release of this album. After that they changed a lot from what they used to be.
@@Kalezera Nick sounds similar to James on the whole studio album. That's not a bad thing, it's the only stage of the band where he has that similar style. With Icon/Draconian Times PL did melodic metal with aggressive vocals without getting to gutturals. Nick's voice is more versatile. His clean vocals more characteristic of him were fully captured on the Symbol of Life album.
I love their studio work but I've never seen a good live from them. All the time I have impression that it was made too lazy and not just vocals but guitars as well. Mostly vocals, but anyway. Listening to them for 20 years, still one of the favorite bands, so it is what it is. Just dealing with it. Leprous, for instance, have some great live performances
