I like to think that the Poncho is the first result of the Gunslingers magic that would later become ammomancy (aka the poncho is the first thing he brought to life)
Gunslinger vs the 2 liches is without out a doubt the most epic moment in the whole game. This music is so cool when the gunslinger comes in to kill his future self and prevent the gungeon from existing is so cool.
But it's kinda ruined if u have a weapon that makes the fight practically impossible to lose (aka, yari launcher which will at least kill 1 lich, fighrsabre cuz u can reflect all of the massive amount of bullets, black hole gun, etc.) As the fight doesn't require as much effort. Otherwise, very intense and cool.
I don’t think I even noticed the music was different when I was fighting them. I was too focused on the fight itself. Too wired to die, too under fire to think.
You just walk into the boss room and you see the Lich in a cool guy shirt and sunglasses just breakdancing. The gunslinger :Yo, Lich, can I join? The lich:sure m8!, bring out the cold ones like good ol times eh? The gunslinger: sure fella, let's dance!

I have a very distinct memory of not realising the lyrics were there when playing and then thinking I was losing my mind when I started hearing them part-way through the fight, like I was so stressed or in the moment that my brain was just hearing things.
The song itself is great, and thematically goes perfect with the events of the game, mainly what is currently happening, but some may think that it doesn't go too great with the fight itself. They have obviously never actually reached rthis point in a run, because this goes great not with the fight but the overwhelming increase in dopamine and blood pressure when fighting/killing that glitched son of a lich
He died for me just as the vocals started. Yari launcher plus backup gun, plus hero's bandana and eyepatch for that extra burst. The burst damage was so insane I think it took two bursts to kill the first one.
The gunslinger enters the dark, decrepit bottom of Bullet Hell. As he adjusts his hat, he looks forward... ..Him. The lich looks at the Gunslinger, chuckling until his prosthetic eyes focused, sending a shiver down his spine. A howl is heard, shaking the room in an instant, as the Lich rips himself in two, readying his malicious weapon and chuckling. The Gunslinger looks at his hand. The bullet rest in it. "'Bout damn time I do something right" he murmurs as he loads The Bullet into his old friend. His poncho yips in excitement as the man who was to damn his future, to damn all ye who Enter The Gungeon, attempt to do the paradoxical... it's time.. ..TO KILL THE FUTURE!
as all of bullet-kind watch the stand of between the Gungeon master and their former creator, and as the air get tense accross the gungeon they start singing....and their reach even as down as bullet hell the beginig of the end as arrive!
An intense firefight emerges, and a rush of sound flows though each competitor. The man with the living poncho seems to be struggling. "I ain't droppin' until your last breath." He says, his voice heavy. "Same to you." The other one replies. The fight progresses, more intense than previously. Somebody in the crowd throws the poncho man something. He caught a glimpse of a red cape as the strange kin left. "Rebels." he muttered under his breath. He inspects the gift. It is ammo, but strange looking at that. It has an oddly blue color. The man, with no time to spare, loads them into his gun while dodging. He shoots, and all of the Lich's bullets are immediately destroyed. The man wonders how the rebel bullet got these, but he cares not. With renewed confidence, the fight continues.
Honestly this run kinda made me quit the game. I've made it to paradox lich a few times, but I can't beat him. I'm definitely gonna try more, but I had to take a break.

OMG! The Lich's eyes *are* Bullets! They're just pointed at us! Edit: Guys please, this was an actual moment of clarity for me, of course I knew about the item before coming here but it is so easy miss the physical detail in game since really the only times the Lich's eyes are visible is when he's firing an entire Tsunami of Lead at you (Stage 2 & 3 of the boss fight)
Maaaan,this fits sooo great,because this is basically the fight for the True Ending,since we put an end to the Gungeon and make that the Great Bullet never has landed,and it's the only theme that have lyrics,besides the Enter the Gungeon title and victory screen,and,at least for me,if they put lyrics JUST to this fight,it's because it IS an important thing Edit:btw,it is epic tho

I usually play the game with other music on and mute the game's music since I've heard it several times, but when I reached this boss, I thought that since I hadn't fought it before, it would be a good idea to let it play instead in the fight, so I turned the game's music back up again and turned my music off, and immediatley was somewhat scared and also vibin, as this slaps.
Heard this for the first time the other day. I entered the boss arena thinking, "Oh, his past fight is just the Lich again, alright." Took me a while to notice when the jammed bullets were swarming my screen, that these crazy ass lyrics were overlayed ontop of the music I was already used to, lol. I did not unlock him, yet. Relatively close, regular lich was low HP, Paradox lich was getting there too. EDIT: Finally got him, after like 20 more hours of play time lol.
Man I finally fought paradox lich and just unlocked gunslinger. The extra voices during this boss music during this fight had me sitting forward and going "let's go!!!!" So much fun.
Had it not been for the hero pig, and the ticket, I would not have been able to endure my second fight against the paradox liches. Also because I had the vulcan cannon, I managed to cheese it in the end because of twin gulls.
Man I hardly had a chance to realize the music was different considering my first (and winning) gunslinger unlock run was a rainbow run with awp start.
Just beat the game. AKA glitch lich like 20 minutes ago. Just want to say that is in the top 5 moments I’ve ever had playing games in the past like 8 years

The first time I got to bullet hell I was the paradox and I had such a good loadout that I even beat the lich and paradox lich on first try I dont know how lucky I must have been but yeah it still got me very hype
Finally managed to beat them on PC. Tried twice on Switch before but the game couldn't handle and the fight and was running at 2 fps haha. Such a fun fight, and this soundtrack is fits the situation so well.
Ammonomicon Entry: The GUNGEON Master Though banished to Bullet Hell, the Gundead know him to be the immortal master of the Gungeon. The Gungeon refuses Gundeath, and has told it to fight shell and casing to ensure its erasure is but a ricochet.
Honestly, the Glitched Lich kinda felt like a copout of a true final boss to me. It doesn't really make any sense within the lore, and doesn't really add anything new. I believe that the ideal finale would be a standard past in which the Gunslinger confronts Kaliber herself just before the creation of the Gungeon. But hey, maybe they're saving that ultimate battle for another game.

because of spoilers, if they added this into the official ost then it would spoil the game for those who likes to go mess around with the folders or search the song online. i mean they could name it something really vague like "The Last Sling" or something idk
Why can someone complain about this music? This is literally the first time I notice this song. At that point, when I reach the Glitched Lich, my head is so focused on not blundering against a jammed bullet that I can't hear a damn thing.
