The most used, easy and safe technique to lose height is called "big ears". To perform this technique you must pull the lines of the A risers that go towards the tips of the paraglider, called "tips". Modern paragliders have bifurcated A risers, that is, divided in two, precisely to make ears more easily. One fork of the A riser connects us to the center of the glider and has 2 lines, while the other fork connects us to the tip or wingtip of the glider and has only one line. It is this last fork, the one that has a single line and goes to the tip, the one that we must pull to make ears.
