Nice app, I just downloaded it. I was hoping I could create a list of instances from it but I didn't see how that would work. Although now I do remember you once could just use a text file to do that when revit came out.

Hi! , this is another amazing tool from diroots! A question, can I export the formulas used on families? Like something param A * param B ?

Can you show how to update shared and omniclass parameters in Revit model with the help of Diroots from scratch.

@@akshitasood5659 we will need a predefined shared parameters file for particular client as well as the omniclass parameters from omniclass using BIM classification! With these we can setup a new project to have all the necessary Parameters for information exchange in comparatively less time!

It is a great tools. I have been using it now. Just a question, can I modify existing family parameter in the project? for example, I have family parameter with a formula and loaded in the project. Now I want to change the parameter formula without open the family or change the parameter. If yes, how?

Can you rename a project parameter that has been created from a shared parameter with DiRoots?

It is not possible. You need to recreate a new one, transfer the values from the old one (e.g., with SheetLink), and then delete the old one. docs.dirootsone.diroots.com/

@@DiRootsNews thank you so much for your reply. Would you mind further explaining a little bit more the option of transferring values through SheetLink, sorry I'm quite new to DiRootsOne. Can fully see what a game changer this tool is though.

Hi, I am sorry but I'm struggling to see what is revolutionary about this one. I used sheet link which is amazing and works well but I'm looking at paramanager and thinking that you have created an alternative interface for creating parameters. Apart from being able to create parameters in batches I'm not sure what other benefits there are. I'm also not sure about why I would need to create and edit parameters in batches because I prefer to do it in the old interface on a micro level where I will be able to think carefully about doing it.

Thank you for providing your personal opinion. Must admit that I disagree with every single word you stated, but respect it. If you prefer to manage parameters manually, please do. Tens of thousands of users have ParaManager in their standard pipeline and they find it extremely useful. It all depends on the type of work you do in Revit. For many companies worldwide wideParaManager is irreplaceable.

Darin, as Marko said, it depends on the type of work you do and the number of parameters you need to manage. In any case, the benefits and time savings are unquestionable 😉
