Hey mate, just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing this tutorial! You wouldn't believe how long I searched the web for a voronoi guide and your step by step process was exactly what I needed. I just uploaded a vid of a project of 3D printed speaker stands that came from your help. So thank you 👏
Hi Cam! No worries dude, you took it to another level with the 3D printed stands and made them super functional as well! Keep up the work mate and your videos are really high quality. Your production and setup is just awesome! 👍🏻
Thanks for the method, but I'm curious. Does making a model using modifier can be specify as parametric design? I thought parametric is supposed to created it with parameters thing, in Blender it use geometry nodes. If making a model can be specify as parametric just using modifier, does that mean everything can be called parametric, even it's a very simple model?
No worries! I’m not 100% sure as I’m pretty new to blender my self.. This is maybe a form that gives the look of parametric design that we commonly see in architecture so that’s why I just went with that title. Have you ever looked at the software called Rhino/Grasshopper? That’s what I’ve seen people use the most for true parametric design.
Very cool thank you, any idea how to reduce size? Slicer is saying the file is too large and is taking forever to slice, or is this just normal with this kind of design? EDIT: Got it fixed, just decimate the mesh until polys are reduced :)
Thank you! And you’re right as no algorithm is used to define the shapes. Perhaps the term Voronoi might be better suited? I just went for Parametric as it’s more common to people I think lol
